Warden-Commander, Paragon Jaeto Brosca: Whenever the Wardens, the Ferelden army and the Dwarven Warrior caste retake another thaig he is called back to Orzammar to join in the celebrations. In honesty he really only comes back to see the statute they carved of him and every now and again he joins up with his sister Rica to talk about the 'good old days.' In the mandatory banquets he sits amidst the Diamond Quarter to hear tittering nobles ask him about the surface and tell him about how far a casteless dwarf has come. But mostly he's left the great halls of Orzammar behind. It never thought much of him and he doesn't think much of it, anymore.
Oghren, Nathaniel, Velanna and Sigrun are still under his command and Zevran eventually found himself hired as a retainer of the wardens of Amaranthine. By the end of Inquisition, Brosca and his inner circle are still hunting for a cure to the calling whilst Morigan and Kieran wait beyond the eluvian. In time the Warden intends to return to Amaranthine, and live under the open sky until the squalor of dust-town is just a distant memory.
My Warden wandered too far and ended up in Jade Empire 2

I see my warden as chasing after the calling cure. Once he's successful he'll distribute the information, which i hope is one of the factors behind the silence at Weisshaupt(as the wardens have to adapt to this new scenario).
After that it's hightailing it to his beloved Leliana's side, where he'll be her consort and right hand as she bloodily transforms the chantry.
Reality= they are all ghosts who don't exist anymore, and yes headcanon are useless.

So I'd like to ask, if your Warden is alive, what do you headcanon them doing during DAI and after DAI? Do you follow Bioware's guidelines and have them search for a cure or do you have them doing something completely else?
Going West for a cure to the Calling so she and Alistair can grow old together. That's BioWare's canon, so I stand by it. As for headcanon...
If they're doing anything in particular, do they have any specific reasons or motivations to do this?
Short answer: She kept Alistair in the Wardens, became Bann of the Denerim Alienage, felt increasingly disillusioned and betrayed by Anora's non-elf-friendly reign, went to search for Morrigan three years after Amaranthine partly out of depression/a desire to disappear, but went home to keep advocating for her people. Around Inquisition she could feel the effects of the Joining catching up to her, and realized she couldn't die and leave Alistair and her people without her.
So, as per BioWare's official canon, she packed up, kissed Alistair good bye, and headed out West while he stayed to deal with the trouble with Corypheus.
Did/do they have direct contact with the Inquisitor or Hawke? If yes, what's their relationship like?
I headcanon that my Inquisitor was born in the Denerim Alienage, but her parents realized they needed to flee to the Dalish when her older brother started showing signs of magic, so Adaia helped her family sneak out of the city when Templars came looking for them. Since the Warden was a kid and the Inquisitor was a baby the time, I don't think it's that known or important to either of them.
For Hawke, I imagine my Warden passed through Kirkwall between Act 2 and 3, and went to visit Anders since she was in the area. They chatted, caught up on old times, reflected on how they were more sober and downtrodden than their silly and snarky days in Amaranthine. During her visit with Anders she briefly met Hawke, but didn't think he was that special.
I think the feeling was mutual.
After King Alastair showed up to kick Fiona and the mages out of Redcliff, my hero performed fellatio to help him relax.
Then I guess she went off looking for a cure for the calling?

Well, I guess that's one way to HEADcanon it!
Damn... should have put that in the PunQuisiiton.

*not sure if inneundo is intentional ineundo*
My Warden is looking for the cure of the calling. I suppose that he'll come back to teach Kieran how to be a badass Dalish (yes, he's mahariel) and yell Morrigan for an Elfroot sandwich. About Hawke, he wrote to him that he was a patetic son of a nug for not doble kill Cory' in the warden prision.
With the rise of all these "bring back the HoF" post demanding Bioware to pull the strings of the HoF, I wanted to counter that a bit and see what the community has done with/thought for their Wardens without Bioware's involvement.

Would be interesting to see how everyone's Wardens has progressed beyond DA:A.
Bonus question; Do you have multiple Wardens, if yes; do you have a story for them? Personally I've never managed to think up a story for anything beyond my canon Warden, so I'm curious how other people have handled this.
The HoF (Cousland, Rogue-Duelist) is searching for the cure and planning to return to Highever with Mirrigan and Kieran. Or to check how dead Flemeth is first. Relationships with the other protagonists are good. Considering that they are basically one character with very small variation.
I completed DA:O several times with different characters, but I have only one canon story.
Bringing the HoF back (as well as letting them go) is fine, I think, and doesn't require much explanation.
There is no "rise of all these 'bring back the HoF,'" it's merely delusions of grandeur as David Gaider stated long ago that the HoF is done in the world of Dragon Age. As far as what my HoF is doing... wondering why you people won't leave him alone and are stalking him like the paparazzi... His battle is over. He just wants to live a life of solitude and peace with Leliana. Let it be...
After finding morrigan: Killing Darkspawn
Year 34 of the dragon age to year 41 of the dragon age: Killing darkspawn, forming new treaties to avoid a repeat of the 5th Blight, recruiting more wardens, trying to prevent Blackwall from stealing the beards of all of the Wardens despite being an elf. Enlisting the help of the mightiest beards to prevent Blackwall from unlocking the one true Beard. Failing to stop Blackwall and fighting the one true beard whilst the Inquisition dealt with the breach. The cure was a cover up.
After Inquisition: rebuilding the Orlaisian wardens and locating what remains of his wardens after discovering Clarel had transferred a majority of his wardens to Orlais using the hidden power of cheese and contacted Oghren to invent a new weapon that proved to be lethal to the Darkspawn.
Or i've yet to complete Origins with Elrios Maheriel and felt like being silly.

Thanks, now the image of constant white flashes from cameras and the HoF with sunglasses, trying to hide their face from the cameras is stuck on my mind xD

Well at least you planned ahead? ![]()
Somewhere in the Brecillian forest, in a quaint little cottage where our Hero is happily chopping wood for the winter, SUDDENLY!
What's this? A breach in the sky? Welp, there goes my retirement. Zevran, fetch my backpack and kiss me good luck; the world needs me again.
Zevran: You know, my handsome Warden, I could always come along; it's been a long time since I ventured out myself.
Warden: Two words, tesoro mio. Kirkwall. Isabella. ![]()
Zevran: Point taken. ![]()
And so, after a few minutes of our Hero wondering if the Breach could also possibly have an effect on Elves' physiology...

And after a tense moment with Cassandra...
Our hero finally joins the Inquisition where he and Varric become besties.

'Don't worry, Warden. Cassandra's like that with everyone.'
Which does make our Warden contemplate what kind of gift he should bring to boost Cassandra's status to friendship.

Oh, yeah, and he closes the Breach and kicks Corypheus' ass. The End. ![]()
But, since this is more like wishful thinking than anything else, I think he'd want to try to cure the Calling, especially since it can be faked and drive the Wardens crazy. ![]()
I will tell you what happened to my HOF
I have 2 living Wardens, both female (I only really have 3, any after are random). The first is just an elf, generally good. According to Bioware they are off looking for a cure for the Calling. Bit stupid. Let's say they found nothing and will return to Lelianna for some fun times later.
The other is a human mage, very powerful, basically malicious and selfish, she did all for her gain, a lot of her team died but she made sure she survived. She went to look for a cure for the Calling. This is a lie, in reality she is looking for more power, to first take over the Wardens then onwards to conquer northern Thedas.
my warden and Alistair are staying away from bioware writers and they joined a guild of peanut loving grandmothers
I'm leaning toward my warden dying on his quest for a cure, but not before getting the crew back together for one last ride!

You'll need to resurrect Wynne though.
