Just a suggestion - I know it's probably not possible for what we've currently got, but for future DLC or the next game.

Maybe on the War Table we could have a fourth option for Send the Inquisitor and a fifth for - NO.

There are so many interesting missions and story / lore loaded quests on the table, but the Inquisitor doesn't get to do any of them!

I also think it would be awesome if when we pick up these pieces of paper etc in the world maps, they were sent to the War Table (a mini 'tactical' station set up in the camps so back and forwarding isn't a big deal), and then the player can choose to either do the quest or not, or give it to one of the advisors to follow up on.

Just a thought!

the war table and power was a lazy way of making poor quest structure seem relevant.

Most of those missions wouldn't be optional because the whole point of the table is to create the illusion of options that aren't there.

For example, If I wanted to pick your 4th option and send the inquisitor to Denerim the game might crash. Why? Because they actually didn't create the level, Its simply text, no actual game play involved.

They would have to rebuild their entire system to do something they were trying to hide in the first place

The point of war table missions is that the Inquisitor does not go there and engage in the situations, they send their agents to do so. But I think adding some short cinematics for the special ones that take hours would make it more engaging and worthwhile.

The war table is there in part to show that the Inquisition is more than the Inquisitor and their companions that there's an army of specialised agents at your disposal. Plus creating optional environments is probably not the best use of resources.

I'd rather have a way to force quests to trigger i.e. the qunari alliance ones which I've seen once in all my playthroughs.

I would expand it in a differente way.

I like the idea that the Inquisitior can send others to do the job (that's why he has an organisation, after all  :P ) but I would like to "see" what happens then. So I think that either adding cinematics to show what happens or being able of controlling a soldier/diplomat/spy when they are performing those missions would be awesome!

But I understand that doing that would involve a lot of work and I prefer that it is invested in a new DLC  :)

The best missions seemed to be located on the war table. Which makes the fetch quests feel even more strange. I mean, they had some very very good quest ideas right there on the table. Why not make use of them? Did the honestly think players would find 576 fetch quests more interesting?

If you want to "flesh out" the War Table maps a good start is to provide the quizzie with feedback from the efforts of your advisors and recruited agents.

For example:

1. A Political Influence map that shows territorial changes as you play the game.... where the Inquisition is strong, weak and where urgent attention os required.

2. Intelligence map. Where you are weak or strong.

3. Military Power map.

4. Economic map.

Of course, showing a pretty picture without the ability to actually make a change is useless.  This requires a significant game design change if your choices mean something.

Not gonna happen I'm afraid.  Currently the game is selling at 50% off the retail price after only 4.5 months. ... not a good sign in IMO. Plus they are working on patch 7. It tells me how broken this game was in, at launch. Plus the fact that they fix x number  bugs and introduce others at the same time.  On top of this, BIO asked for volunteers to help them fix the game with patch5, patch6 and now patch7. Perhaps the skeleton staff /hardware resources at Bio Edmonton Studio are not up to the task?
