You don't even see your character that much in bloodborne so there is no need for a major investment in the CC. Now the outfits are just too badass for words. Along with the atmosphere, combat, and just...everything else. But I don't think DAI should be like BB nor does BB have to be like DAI.

Yeah, its amazing don't get me wrong. And the outfits are badass. I'm not saying either game had to be like the other by any means. But you do see your characters face occasionally. My Hunter is wearing a (very cool) top hat ATM, and I can see his stupid big chin ALL the time. And its irritating! I just wish From improved their CC. I means, its exactly the same as the rubbish one in Demon's Souls - only with more curly moustaches. With DAI, BioWare reinvented the CC from the one in Origins to great effect

I managed to recreate my Hero of Ferelden in the Inquisition CC, so I have to say it is really good. It could use a few tweaks, and better hairstyles all around, but overall it was really good.

... For me, highlighted just how amazing Inquisition's is. I mean, its just terrible in comparison. I took the CC for granted in DAI and compared to FromSoftwares latest head-stomper it really is brilliant. So well done, BioWare. Tell them guys at From how to do it properly. If my Hunter looked half as cool as my Inquisitor, I'd be much happier...
True, but my hunter will never have to deliver flowers for some guy four miles away for +2 power.
And the combat has some actual impact.

God I wish we had some of the costumes in Bloodborne. Nothing like kicking Eldritch horror ass while dressed like the finest gents and ladies. And those hunter armors are exactly what I would imagine an "Inquisitor" wearing all the time.

With some hard work you can make some decent creations in a Souls-type game.
Inquisition characters are decent all around unless made to be bad.
And Dragon's Dogma has best creator.
Oh yeah, Dragon's Dogma CC was awesome. I was able to make a petite woman that resembles me closer than any CC. And her body type had an impact on how much loot I could carry. So I made my pawn a big strong man to carry all my crap. lol!! DD also had the best combat. Imagine having to scale some of the monsters in Bloodborne.

I once had a pawn that was this tiny little mage-girl who couldn't go through that windy chasm to the north. I COULD have just made her carry all the things so she was weighed down, but I decided to just pick her up and run through the canyon, then throw her at enemies to knock them down.
...Why yes, I am a good tactician. ![]()

Stop comparing peaches to nuts.
Wanna talk about great CC? Saint's Row 4.
Managed to replicate Dr.Manhattan in 5 clicks.
And then my grandma in 6...

This. SR 4 mops the floor with DA:I CC.
Out of rpg CCs I think my choice would be Dragon's Dogma.

Whether DD had a good CC depends very strongly on what you want out of it. I thought it was pretty mediocre to bad given how little control there was over facial features. A great deal of hair and body morphing sure but that's not necessarily what one thinks makes a great CC.

Bloodborne main purpose is for the combat and challenges not it's PC so they don't have to put much effort in the character creator.

I forgot all about that place...too many bad memories of my poor little PC trying to get through there. ![]()
If only there were an option to make my Pawn carry me...sans the tossing me at enemies of course. ![]()

Not having intense facial control to the detail of games like SR3-4 and DA:I is, in my own opinion, less of an issue over having the ability to change the whole body, and have those choices have an affect on gameplay. However, the fact that your face, unlike in a Souls-esque game, is depicted proper in cutscenes can make this a bit of an issue for people who want to make extremely fine changes. Though honestly, the variety of base options is enough for me.
Now, if DD:O or a, proper sequel also had more facial customization...that would be something I'd like to see. Perhaps not in Dragon Age, but it would be nice to see some more variation...everyone seems to be the same height, racially speaking.

It's a long way...
And I disagree entirely. That's my point. While some body morphing would be nice (particularly height) the reality of it is that to me this is an incredibly minor feature that isn't on the "nice to have" list.
So a good CC is pretty subjective.

True, but you have to admit, bloodborne is freaking fantastic despite the less awesome CC.

I'll take a great face with meh hair over a potato with neverending locks.

Pretty much everything has better hair....
But in pretty much every other aspect, yeah, DA:I's CC is excellent.
Not Destiny. Humans have the worst hair ever.
