I'm glad someone is finding necromancy fun. I'm not. Very definitively. I think the trainer Anaphylaxis, or whatever his name is, needs to warn you, bluntly and in no uncertain terms, before he even tells you anything else about the specialization, that all your companions, except Cassandra, will have something bad to say about your decision, and your LI will Disapprove. Furthermore, he should warn that the form of magic he teaches is only at its best in certain rare, narrowly defined circumstances.
Necromancy requires something special to appreciate. You need to devote a lot of time and energy reading spell and ability descriptions (and praying they all work as they should.) I usually pause combat pretty often, but I feel like in order to take advantage of the top tier talents in the tree, you have to pause for every spell, so you can see what status effects are in play every instant. For me, it's one more thing than I'm able to deal with. I'm hitting tab to cycle through targets or trying to find where I left the cursor, changing camera and jumping to unstick Inq, and dealing with the complexities of catwalks, companion AI, and tactical view, and it's not doing my blood pressure or my arthritis any good. I'm not sure I have it in me to go back and try to like it again.
