Since the current gen of consoles is pretty much entirely built out of games that have been released for the second time, would anyone be opposed to a DA:O reissue? I think it would be cool to do, especially with an added DLC to end the "Cure for the Calling" storyline, I feel like it would be a good solution to the "Bring back the Warden" debate, and allow people who just jumped on in Inquisition to see how it all started, any thoughts?

The DLC won't work out because of some plot lines in DAI .

It'd be good for the console players I suppose. I'm skeptical a reissue would be worthwhile on PC. I mean adding new DLC is one thing (no way they'd do that for such an old game) but chances are the only change would be nicer textures. Something PC folk can already achieve easily thanks to how simple it is to turn on mods. Though if the reissue textures are actually BETTER than modded textures, that's different aswell. I'm just skeptical that would be the case. Modders tend to get more leeway in these things since they're not constraint with ensuring the game runs smoothly on toasters.

I would rather any effort that would go into remaking DA:O instead be put towards; Next Mass Effect, Secret Ip, DA:I dlc and DA4

They could go the route that 343 did with the Halo 2 remake, have a third party clean up everything while still focusing on moving forward with Halo 5

The only real difference would be the graphics.

It's very unlikely. From a logistical standpoint, the time and resources used to do a remake would be better spent on a new game.

I finished Inquisition a few days ago and today, I went back to Origins to play around with a game that's been sitting on it awhile. As I played it, I couldn't help thinking that I would love to play this exact game in the Inquistion world, with these characters and these quests, but in an expansive high graphic world. I would love to go through the Brecelian Forest like I went through Emerald Graves, with werewolves coming at me as opposed to red templars. I'd love to handle the Orzammar political wrangling with the dark moodiness of the Inquisition deep roads (Can you imagine the broodmother scene redone?) And I'd love a DLC that found a cure for the calling. I know it would never happen, but man, count me in as someone who would love a reissue. (Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but it just struck me so strongly today as my warden, Liliana, Morrigan and Shale trotted through the forest heading for the werewolf lair. I love Origins and its characters and storyline far more than anything I've experienced in the later games. I almost wish they hadn't come up with Origins until a year ago.)

I'd rather they make new Dragon Age games than remake old ones.

I'd rather they make Inquisition run natively on Macs, but that's neither here nor there.  (And yes, I know I'll probably be waiting a while for that.)

This game, to me, still holds its weight.

Too many things are still good about it.

Hell, I even think most of the graphics are better than DA2 and DAI. This game has a gritty, dirty, more realistic like feel with it's graphics.
