I had another idea, if the Inquisitor is fighting the Knights he can open up dormant fade rifts (like in the Fallow Mire) and the demons will come out and attack the Knights, giving the Inquisitor time to get out of the area. However the Inquisitor will have to make sure that it does not backfire, as the demons will still be able to attack him/her.

All of the dates come from the Dragon Age timeline. Tylus was a canon king of Nevarra, Ghislain was a battle that Nevarra fought agianst Orlais, the places that I mentioned Hasmal etc., are canon. Everything else I made up, for instance I thought Roffspar sounded like a good name for a dragon. lol

Well that's why I asked. It sounds like a legit name from the series. So yeah, I think these are good ideas. The world of Thedas will need more powerful enemies, rivals, and even allies for the next game in order to match the Inquisitor. I think the main question I would ask is, what would you have these power new figures doing during Inquisition? Why weren't they present during the events of the game?

Your ideas sort of remind me of Naruto Shippuden, where the lord or whatever had specialized guardians. It's also a little Game of Thronesy, reminiscent of the King's Guard.

Well they are a secretive group (the few who have even heard the rumors of them, speak of them with euphemisms) there primary concern is with maintaining Nevarra as a nation state, and also working behind the scenes to push forward its claims--going so far as to punish those who try to decent, or threaten Nevarra. Corypheus did not realy threaten Nevarra, except for once with an agent, it might be best for Nevarra if Markus were to die off anyway. Short answer, they were in Nevarra and the Free Marches during the rift crisis.

Thought that this might add to the atmosphere that I'm going for. If anyone is still interested in discussing this.
