Besides, we'll totally destroy the planet on our own well before that happens. Well, assuming we somehow avoid the simpocalypse.

Honestly, I think that a sapient species that destroys itself is worse than that.

I do believe it would be plenty devastating for Earth as our neck of the woods would probably be flung out into dark space and Earth would become a rogue planet.It won't actually be as devastating as you'd think. Chaotic, yes. Devastating, no.

What are they going to do? Fly to another galaxy, lol good luck with that. True, but it all depends on whether or not our section of the galaxy gets thrown into the worst of the chaos. Besides, it'll take at least a few hundred years before that happens.
