[Maker Be Damned]

I just got to skyhold for the first time, oh and I play on nightmare. So now I got new skill trees. I'm only level 10 so I got like 11 points I can use. I setup BlackWall using walking fortress and most of the vanguard tree. I have no I idea what to do with Viv and Varric. I don't have alot of skill points. I spent many hours pre skyhold testing skills and what worked for me in the hands of the AI. With these new skill trees (that i've never used) and so little points its really hard to tell. I want to keep Varric but I can switch Viv to the most AI friendly mage. If anyone has advice or builds for 11-12 points that would be very helpful. At least enough where I can leave skyhold on an adventure.

Well,  Get Fade Shield passive on Vivienne and make her a caster for now. Disable Spirit Blade.  For Varric get most of his artificer passives early to so team can benefit. Disable high cost stamina skills on Varric.

 

Set Tank to follow himself. Set Varric and Vivienne to follow you if you are ranged or to follow themselves if you are melee. Set Mana/stamina reserve to %0. I think they work best that way. Melee characters like Cole or Ironbull... If you already have a tank in party.. Set them to follow the Tank.

[Duelist]

Varric works best with a party that can rack up crits consistently to take advantage of his Opportunity Knocks passive. Set Long Shot and Explosive Shot to preferred and he'll contribute solid DPS to your party.
