Thanks!
P. S. Haven't we played together a couple hours ago? We were both Valkyries, and I had hard time keeping up with you
Yes we have, see the "Those BSNers that you happen to bump into while searching PUGs"-Thread. ^^
Thanks!

I do have issue with some saying take turret or ur retarded.
Just as I take issue with those saying don't take turret or you're retarded.
Only,I haven't called anyone retarded.
There are two reload-related (lol) things I do: reload cancel, and reload hiding.
Not sure which is which. I guess casting an ability is reload hiding, and clicking the medi-gel button (like suggested in the video linked in response to my question) is reload cancelling? I wasn't aware of the latter.
Because Quarian engineers. And shotguns.
It just kind of fits.
for me, engineers with shotguns has also been ingrained from other shooters. Older Battlefield games, Team Fortress, and SWBF games come to mind immediately. Something about the dichotomy of tech skill and a big, unsophisticated boomstick just go well together.

But really, don't be so sensitive. I have told other people with bad quarian builds to get cancer or consume drain cleaner. At least I'm being honest and direct.
In addition to my arguments about it being less effective, building a QFE without a turret is pointless from a gameplay standpoint. You get a kit that plays almost exactly like a Human Infiltrator but has literally zero real advantages other than being quarian (which is admittedly a gigantic advantage), while lacking all the advantages from Tactical Cheat.
Why bother if you are going to do that? I mean, technically I could build a cloakless QMI and it would "work" fine in terms of effectiveness, but would objectively be a pointlessly gimped QME.

I like it more because it underscores the fact that engineers conventionally use their weapons more for defense than for offense. And if you want something for personal defense, a heavy, slow-firing weapon works pretty well for guarding sapping operations and fortifications. Carrying a shotgun is a great way to make people think twice about attacking you (or talking about your immune system).
Shotguns rule MP because the maps are so small and there's not a lot of "shooting gallery" setups, and when there are, they favor snipers more than anything else.

Pretty much, yes.
Reload canceling means cutting the animation short by doing something right after the thermal clip has gone in. That something, on PC, is usually hitting the medigel key, which forces your character to stop performing the reload animation. Oh by the way, I would advise against binding the medi gel to the middle mouse button, as showed in the video above, because in that way you can't immediately fire after having hit the medi gel key: you need to wait for the physical time of your finger moving from one button to the other on the mouse, which is gonna make you lose a noticeable, although little, amount of time. Personally, I bind it to the left ctrl, but I'm aware that it's a very weird choice. I'd say pretty much any button on the keyboard that you can easily reach and that is not close to something vital is fine.
Reload hiding, on the other hand, means using a power before the reload starts, and when done right, will end up with your character reloading "in the background" while performing the power animation, effectively hiding the reload animation like it's not there, but still reloading your gun.
You can find more information about the similarities and differences in this thread. The post by Aedolon is especially useful. Please disregard the OP's posts in that thread, as they are clueless.

I bind it to the left ctrl
Great tip! I play with the arrow keys rather than WASD, so right ctrl is a very natural choice, almost always reachable without moving the hand. I usually utilize it for crouch, but ME doesn't have that anyway. Also, I didn't realize I can rebind the 5-8 buttons before today. Gonna bind Ops Pack to MMB; reaching 6 is long and has already cost me a fair couple deaths.
Use a Wraith instead. It's much better on her
Protip: Skip turret.
Come at me scrubs.
No.
Get in close and Claymore!
I'm not really a big fan of Turret on her, certainly not more than Rank 4 Shock if you just have to run it.
it was a slightly lame joke about how the post was titledCryo Blast still has a very fast cooldown that is perfect for setting up heashots and debuff. Though with debuff & Claymoar you can just aim for the toe for all you care and still not lose points for style.
I find FQE works better with the Black Widow, since the Cryo Debuff allows shield clean kill headshots on Gold. So yes, that means each shot of the Black Widow can be an instant kill thanks to very fast cooldown of Cryo Blast, thus making FQE and Black Widow on of the most deadliest combos in the game.
