I just received this (out of date?) announcement from gamespot and wondered if it could be regarded as an opportunity for getting new players for our game? My own take is probably not but if someone who plays both were to try spreading the word, who knows.

Well, every time someone searches for "Neverwinter", NWN1 hits come up, either on Google or YouTube. It's....better than nothing, heh heh. I thought it was interesting that Trent Oster from Beamdog mentioned it last month. Since, AFAIK, he's never actually commented on the MMO except to explain it's one of the main reasons why there isn't a NWN:EE, I was a bit puzzled. Of course, every time Trent says or types the word "Neverwinter", my face twitches ever so imperceptibly with anticipation.
I guess Beamdog is still working on Adventure Y, which slips between BG 1 & 2. Later on this year, they're supposed to leak a little more information about "Project: Beartrap". I'm still holding out hope that Beartrap has something to do with either the Aurora engine (or some flavor of it) or involves a toolset for their revamped Infinity engine, I dunno. All they've said so far is "Right now all we can say about Project: Beartrap is that it exists and it’s a departure for us in terms of what we’ve done in the past."
We'll hopefully know more before the end of this summer.

yea they could have named that silly MMO anything but Neverwinter, as it has very little to do with the bioware game.
