What is it lore-wise? Does anyone know? Can someone explain to me what it is?
What is "Black Emporium " I know it's a DLC coming out but...

The Black Emporium was an exotic shop under the City of Kirkwall (though this is cast into some doubt, for me, if the Black Emporium is not accompanied by a 'rertun to Kirkwall' DLC) which features many items worth buying. In Dragon Age 2 unique weapons, materials, potions, and recipees, amongst a great many other things.
Even more curious is the fact that the proprietor of the shop,Xenon the Antequarian, seems to collect items of magical and historical significance. IE the Golem, mirror of transformation, and taht sculpture of Andraste that was deemed heretical.

According to lore (and my memory), Xenon was said to be a mage who years ago made a deal with the famous witch from Antiva (heavily implied to be Flemeth's other daughter, yavana) for eternal life. The deal was made and he got what he asked for, that is unending life. What he forgot to mention was unending youth.
Now, centuries later, he's a hideously aged creature with a complexion that Gollum would find a bit gross. It's said that the kid who helps run his shop has to help shower him every couple of hours so he doesn't completely dry out.
Ever since he's been seeking out bizarre and unique magical items in the hopes that one of them will be able to de-age him. He also sells off some of his bits and pieces to roving Champions as a side business.
