My game freezes up too much. (once ever hour or two) I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. The game is great I have a lot of fun playing. I think these bugs I encounter could be easily fixed but there's not a lot of people with the ps3 digital version reporting problems so BioWare is unwilling to acknowledge or adress my problems. I really doubt these issues will ever be fixed. I made it as far as skyhold and I will have to retire this game. For the health of my ps3. I'm not going to risk ruining my system when I have countless other games that run fine still to play.

I don't care about the money I spent on the game anymore. At first I was mad that I spent $50 on a broken game but now I'm just sad I won't be able to finish it. This will probably be my last post on these forums and I know nobody will be sad to see me go. It was fun while it lasted. PEACE

Edit: I think my biggest problem is I bought the digital copy for ps3 and out of all the copies of the game thats been sold I'd guess ps3 digital version is VERY small % of those sales. Any bugs specifically releated to it are probably very low priority.

Sucks, I remember the frustration with Skyrim and PS3.

I haven't had any issues with DA on XBone until latest patches, then had a few freeZes/resets.

It sounds like your having the problems I had. Did you update to the latest patch?

Sounds like they actually sold you a pre-alpha build of DA4. Or maybe ME4, who am I to know.

In any case, do share!

Yeah, Since the patch I only freeze up either while auto-saving or while going to character menu (usually after equiping gear) but its still way too often. My ps3 runs flawlessly and I have a huge backlog of games, I'd rather not risk ruining it on this one game.

That's more than fair.  I've heard about several problems across both of the previous-gen consoles.  I really hope things get better for you, and try to lurk on the forums.  Maybe this will be addressed in Patch 7 (which they are testing atm.)

Did you also get the DLC, or did you just patch?  There could be others that have had this problem after downloading both the latest patch and the DLC.  You might want to talk to the folks in the Xbox/PS3 issues thread, and see if others are having this issue.  It could also be the age of your PS3.  I'm not saying it's dying, but if you got one of the older models, there could be something conflicting with the software and hardware.   It wouldn't hurt to ask them, if nothing else.  They are a pretty nice bunch overall.

<hugs>  From one gamer to another, I wish you the best.  I hope this is fixed for you, and soon.

My ps3

^There's your problem right there

The hardware your using is 10+ years old, with each new patch the game is moving further from last gen. Like it or not, you guys gotta face facts the the more a game is updated the harder it'll be for that game to function across all platforms

Guys on PC,XB1, and PS4 will have it easier because of their updated hardware. The problem isn't the game, its your console buddy :(

The DLC wasn't released for ps3. My PS3 is the newest model and its been very well taken care. I think some of this is limited to the digital copy. Out of all the copies of DA:I sold my best guess is ps3 digital sales probably makes up 2% or even less. BioWare has bigger problems with other 98% of people, DLC and multiplayer and all that. I don't see my issues ever being fixed.

This kind of BS pisses me off. If this statement is true which I don't believe it is. Then DA:I should have never been sold on PS3 or 360. The game is the problem my console runs the other 100 or so games I own just fine.

I feel you, the PS3 version actually broke my PS3. If its making the PS3 make weird noises, semi-frequently, remove the game and save  ur console. It's just not worth it in the long run.

Uhm, that is Irrelevant really. He bought a product, and because it was sold as a PS3 Game, it is supposed to work on a PS3. If it's not working, than he is entitled to complain because: he spent his money, on a product that was marketed as playable on PS3

If they could not get it to function properly, than they should have made it new-gen exclusive.

Hey, I'm sorry for my dumb joke earlier.

Fact is, no matter how "latest" your PS3 is, or how well it was taken care of - the game would probably have the same problems on a comparable PC.

Just upgrade to next-gen, for your own sanity.

Yeah but the point is though, OP shouldn't have to.

If you're gonna market a game to play across all platforms, it should work and if it doesn't work, it should be fixed.

Besides, people still have issues on next-gen. I'm pretty lucky, I've had minimal; but I can't speak for others.

BioWare seems to have given up on them, which is why I suggest him to upgrade to next-gen. People have been complaining about the PS3 and Xbox360 issues for months now and nothing has been solved yet.

Yeah I've noticed. I just feel bad cause not everybody can afford to upgrade to next-gen nor would they necessarily be inclined to, depending on what games they like to play. There aren't a hell of a lot of RPGs coming out, etc.

I'm on XBone and while it's not unplayable it's still full of bugs - reproducable ones. Constant sound problems (no sound, sounds 3-4 seconds too late) and game crashes.

Using the respecc necklace and then directly switching to the ability trees causes a crash every single time. You have to back out of the inventory after using the necklace, wait till the message "points resetted" occurs and then you can spend your points. Annoying as hell because I don't pay attention every time and encountered numerous crashes.

Thats crap, they sold it for Xbox360 and PS3 they have an obligation to support it on those platforms and provide a working game.

They should do a recall and refund them.

Even if I went out and bought a new console I doubt I would be willing to buy another copy of this game. I mean its fun but its not that great. If I had a next gen system I probably be buying next gen exclusives.

Would the digital download version of the PS3 really be that different from the physical one?  I had almost zero problems with it, two crashes, and the only time characters would play hide and seek (IE not be on the screen but be speaking, or not be on the screen but suddenly pop in) only occured in the intro.  And a few cases of texture pop in...which got really annoying from time to time.  But certainly nothing 'unplayable'.

Probably not, to be honest.

I think a lot of it has to do with "luck".

The odd thing is that the bugs and crashes, for me personally, depended on one playthrough to the next.

One was squeaky clean, while another was a pain in the arse.
