Fury is faster. Not in a way of speed, but because she can cut walls and avoid climbing ladders.
Mine is faster because she is red.
Mine is faster because she is red.
"Da red wunz go fasta!"
Almost all my kits are red. Only Juggy and ACA are green, to avoid confusion.
Mine is faster because she is red.
Mine is also red and has stripes for 20% more speed.

Damn I hadn't thought about racing stripes. I will have to add those this evening.
My kits also have racing stripes. Yes, I thought of everything. ![]()

Dammit, I'm out of likes!
Here, take mine.
I just Liked both of the above posts, and then a few random other ones for the lulz.

Which is 'better,' I have a hard time saying which of them is 'better.'
I think using the Fury as a hit-n-run character with annihilation field and throw is by far one of the most FUN combos to use in the game. You can just chain together so many BE's that it's super fun. Couple that with giving her points into speed from annihilation field, and you're good to go.
The Valkyrie can also do many BE's, but they don't come out as fast. And even if you keep her recharge speed @ 200%, the warp still just takes forever to fire in between shots. For that reason, I always run a shotgun on the Valkyrie, as it doesn't really add much of a practical hindrance on how fast you can cast the warp.
So I think just in terms of sheer damage output possible, especially killing bosses, the Valkyrie does more. Using a shotty, Incendiary, annihilation field and warp, you can multi-BE with the Valkyrie. But the Fury, is just waaaaay more fun.

Uhm. Did I not play some games with you some time ago? Or am I wrong?

I'm pretty sure.
I get around a lot.
(that's what she said)
Dang nabbit!
Now I have to go and change the colors on all my kits to red for an increase in movement speed!
I'm pretty sure.

Hehe. I seem to recall they were good games. Thanks ![]()
Why would you take movement speed on the AF, though? Isn't 15% damage amplification vastly superior?

Because speed = survivability. You use AF to detonate whatever gets in it and to drain shields, not mainly to do damage on its own, because 15% or not, it doesn't do a lot of damage and nothing should be in it long enough to "enjoy" the 15% damage benefit from your teammates.

Speed kills literally. You can evade bullets until the dreaded enemy AI lock on, get into and out of spawns faster, and hit and run more effectively. People have called drell squishy but I've never felt that in game because as long as you're moving you're not taking as much damage as your average kit if you play it properly. When you're not in cover or playing from RHA you should strafe while shooting which generally with a character with movement speed bonuses you will take less damage.

It says "15% extra damage taken from all sources". I assume "all sources" includes BEs, which is a huge damage boost.

I think it's only weapon and power damage, but not BE's or FE's or Tech Bursts.

Effected targets from AF should take increased BE damage at least I think they do from most debuffs. Maybe I'm wrong though?

I don't know, since I don't know myself ![]()
Any debuff*, including AF's, increase the damage taken by BEs too.
However, speed on evo 5 of AF is by miles the best option, even on the Valkyrie who has two debuffs. The only reason to spec into the debuff, for me, is to provide the Valkyrie with a different playstyle than just being a gimped fury.
*the only exception is the debuffs, or evolutions of, that specify the source of damage needed to apply the debuff, like tac scan, or sabotage.
To me that clearly says I want the debuff evolution on Fury, since it's the only way to boost my main source of damage.

Or, you could boost your main and secondary sources of damage, your speed in doing objectives, your survivability and pretty much anything else that is worthwhile by taking the other option ![]()
