For me:

1) hawke or alistair = granted I haven't get to this play through yet but it is gonna be hard.

2) to kill Zeveran = never like him but kept him in my canon as my warden is good. N I always find it hard to kill or reject companion. Sebastian is an exception.

3) morrigan or the inquisitor = not sure of the consequences then.

1) Who do I play as, Male or Female

2) Who do I play as, Qunari or Elf (went with human)

3) Who do I play as, Rogue or Mage (went with warrior)

Edit:

I felt little to no connection to this game so my choices were not difficult.

Edit edit:

I just realised I sh*t on this game so much. I do hope I don't come across as a troll.  :(

1) The Fade Choice in DA:I.  if it's Loghain, as you had to fight to get him to that point, you're probably pretty fond of him.  Most people are pretty fond of Alistair- I know he's a brat, but he's matured so well by DA:I.  And even Stroud, if they saved Carver or Bethany (if they didn't, it's sort of eh, but hey)- mainly because I imagine Hawke being like 'This person saved my baby bro/sis, they are NOT dying instead of me' and I imagine Hawke has a forceful enough personality to make you want to listen.

2) The Dark Ritual in Origins, assuming you're not romancing Morrigan (if you are, I find it a pretty easy enough decision)- at least when Origins first came out.  Now we know that Kierian's god soul gets taken and will be able to grow up in to a normal child, and that Morrigan gets some heavy character development and loves her little boy and is probably an awesome mom.  At the time, though, it was an woman with highly ambiguous morals telling you she was going to put the soul of an Archdemon in to a child's body and never let you (or the dad, if you weren't him) see the child again and that she'd traveled with you just for that point.  In my very first few playthroughs- back before their were guides on whose gift goes where (and before I had even reached the 'friendship point' to know she wanted the jewelry), feastday gifts to spam at everyone, and I had realized the 'leave Morrigan back when doing basically all quests' (as I generally played goody-goodies my first few runs of the game)... eep.  Coupled with it was very likely it meant either A) forcing a young man who does seem want to save his first time for someone special to have sex with someone he really dislikes, B) cheating on your bard or assassin lover, or C) having your lover (said young man in A) cheat on you (as, during first few playthroughs, no Loghain usually), in my first three games I think I always made the Ultimate Sacrifice (although Alistair stole it from me the first game).  I mean now, having played Inquisition, it's very hard not to use my meta-knowledge that everything is going to turn out roses to just go with the RItual because there's no drawbacks, but back when it was just Origins, and early Origins for that matter?  (Especially before WItch Hunt?)  Yeaaaah.

Those were the big decisions for me in DA.  A third is hard- there are a lot of 'smaller' decisions that were also hard.  Awakening, first playthrough, the city or the keep (before I knew that I would save the Keep anyway, even on my first playthrough, due to completionist nature- ended up choosing the Keep when it would have lasted anyway, darn it!).  Golems, doing it at all so the whole harvester thing actually being around makes sense in DAII or hating that damned last fight and never touching it.  DAII, to kill Anders or not (as I am an Anders fan and usually romanced him, but knowing from Word of God that there were so many orphans and injured and stuff in there besides generally useless chantry leader woman... owch).  DAI, chargers or qunari (considering the qunari's strategy is stupid as hell, I usually choose the chargers, but considering they can't even fight those losers on their own despite being elite is tough).  Oh, and DAI as a male, choosing between Cassandra and Dorian, both who are probably my two favorites in the game.  Um.  There are probably more.  Eh.

1) Whether or not to spare the Anvil of the Void. No matter how the election goes in DAO, the dwarves of Orzammar are basically a doomed race in the long ran. The process of creating golems is a horrific, and it could possibly be prone to abuse by the powers that be as shown in some epilogue slides, but the golems could possibly be one of the only ways for the dwarves to withstand and actually push back the constant Darkspawn assaults in the future.

2) Solving the demon situation in Redcliff (without knowledge of the Circle copout). You can either kill a child that got possessed by a demon while trying to save his father, or you can allow an untrustworthy mage to sacrifice the child's mother. No real right decision on that one other than the total copout of going to the Circle for help.

3. The Fade choice in DAI. Not because it was difficult or impactful, but because it was forced onto us and we had to live with it. To think that three of Thedas' strongest men and women couldn't get past a demon, no matter the size, is a bit absurd.

1) Dark Ritual

I didn't really think for more than a few secs for the other decisions. It's the most important decision of all Dragon Age games. We get to determine both the most dangerous foe's and the most powerful protagonist's (or the best sidekick's) fate in a single decision. In my first few PTs, I did the dark ritual. This also makes Witch Hunt much better and much more meaningful since I played as a male Warden who romanced Morrigan. In another one I tossed Alistair at the Archdemon. In the rest of my PTs, I recruited Loghain as an Archdemon cookie. After playing DAI, I started to think that sacrificing the sidekick (Alistair or Loghain) was definitely the best choice, especially since I romanced Morrigan. Kieran still exists and whenever Inquisitor says Kieran is a fine young man, Morrigan says "that is his father's doing and not mine" or "his father has every reason to be proud" so they seem like a happy family.

Honestly? Whether I should take Anders with me or not to the Deep Roads when I have Carver. His whiny ways make me want to slap him senseless but, on the other hand, I kind of feel bad when I 'forget' to take Anders along.

The other's whether I should kill Anders or not. On the one hand, he blew up the Chantry, he caused the death of so many people; but a part of me can't really hold him accountable when, even when you *convince* him that what he's about to do is wrong, Justice/Vengeance takes over and makes him forget - it's basically that other one that's pulling the strings from then on.

isn't letting your whole family die rather tragic? i always save my last family member. no matter what. so it is not difficult at all...

Who should drink the Well of Sorrows? This is the only decision I can say makes me pause every time I get to it. All the other major things I've made my mind on.

1. Alistair or PC

2. Alistair or PC
3. Alistair or Loghain

Bioware has an obsession with different varieties to get Alistair killed...

Fangirl-problems aside, I'd say the toughest questions would be:

1. Dark Ritual or no? (difficulty varies per Warden)
2. Hawke or Alistair (difficulty varies per Hawke, again...)
3. Mages or templars? (can't I just be Switzerland?)

Actually, I forgot that one.  The Mages and Templars choice in DAI is pretty hard for me.

I mean, your introduction to the Mages is basically 'time travel AHHH THINGS ARE BEING MESSED WITH EEEK', while the Templar's is sort of like 'Um, well, the leader is a punching jerk?'.  So urgency, Mages seem obvious... save for that you also obviously are walking in to a trap if you go that way.

On the other hand, you have Ser Barris versus Fiona, and I think the majority leans towards the first (I know I do).  Also, in general, the Mages chose to ally with Tevinter (not that I don't think there was some blood magic brainwashing going on later, and that they were heavily manipulated by being told they were being marched on and blamed with Tevinter right there offering to save them), while on the other side, the Templars leaders are jackasses, but the rank and file is still generally noble and good.  Also, seeing Dorian and then choosing to go Templar means it makes a lot more sense to keep both Dorian and Cole, unlike the Mage route where Cole comes out of nowhere being suspicious (if adorable).  And then of course there's the which leader is better (C has a better story, but S has that dramatic tie in and also one of my favorite songs in the game)...

Yeah, I think about it too much.

The choices that have the biggest impact are your romance option in DAO (assuming you're picking Morrigan, Leliana, or Alistair) and who you have as the Warden. Either Loghain, Alistair, or Stroud.

Most other choices are pretty inconsequential, either getting only passing references, slight variations in codex entries/war table, or not being mentioned at all.

The Well of Sorrows really tripped me up. I think I debated with myself for a good five minutes before I made a decision. Other than that, I've come to pretty quick decisions on all the other major choices in the Dragon Age series.

Go Mages or Templars in Inquisition. I like mages more, and freeing them makes a wonderful story, but that means no Calpernia :crying:

Who rules Orlais. I like Briala, I like Gaspard, but getting Celene assassinated hurts.

Warden or Hawke. Even when it's Stroud. I like Stroud.

Bhelen or Harrowmont gets an extra mention. There's no win in this one. Very tricky.
