I'm pretty sure the only time I ever visited my bedroom was when Solas put me there

Josephine can make us go there for non-romance dialogue as well.

Some of the beds even mess up the romance scenes. I changed the bed before Sera's scene and she fell through the bed and pulled me through too. It was kind if funny, but still annoying. Seriously, get your sh*t together Bioware!

That sounds like a scene in a cheap horror movie.

I missed the Normandy.   Remember how once you were in the romance you could click on your sofa and they would come and spend some time with you?   Would have been nice to have that with the bed.

I think the kissing with Dorian was meant to take place in my bedroom but I was always returned to the library.  I gather it makes not a jot of difference which bed you have when it comes to his comment on the austerity of your décor.    Presumably if you have that tacky looking Orlesian bed you have to assume his comment is ironic.    As for Cassandra, for someone who wanted it to be romantic, alone time in the attic above the blacksmith didn't really do it for me.   And poor Cullen; you'd think the Inquisitor could have got his roof mended if nothing else.    I assume magic keeps the snow out.

I would have quite liked the option to purchase bathing facilities.   I mentioned to Josephine pretty soon after getting to Skyhold that I'd like a bath but nothing doing on that front; I'm pretty sure Blackwall isn't the only one who niffs a bit.

The Inquisitor's quarters really do not get the use they should; I agree a nice display cabinet would add to the interest of it or even a tank full of fish, though preferably not dead ones!

There is the reclusive lady that you must check on, in Crestwood, and she has a beautiful red bathtub in her shack. My IQ wants a tub like that!  B)

The Inquisitor's bed is also too big and there is nothing much to do there. It is also to be noticed that poor Cassandra sleeps in a bedroll in spite of being royalty. Vivienne sleeps by a balcony, Josephine apparently sleeps  at the office and so on.

Try having that happen, then waking up to a man standing in your room.

The beds in Skyhold are like the toilets on the Normandy.

They are not shown to be used in-game but if they weren't there then players would worry about their absence.

(we can assume they are used but just not onscreen)

I will mention that in Oblivion and Skyrim I generally only use beds to trigger quests

Yeah but in Skyrim, I get to choose which trophies to put in the trophy room and which weapons to display, which house gets the greenhouse, and whether or not I want the big kitchen, and I can hire a bard....

Seriously? You can do that on console? Was that ME, ME2 or ME3?

Too big? I switched the bed to a larger one at some point since the original bed seemed small for someone who was in a relationship with someone else. But the original bed wasn't too big. In fact a nice bed you can spread out in is such a wonderful thing. I slept in tiny beds for most of my life and now I live alone with a queen sized bed.

Cassandra doesn't really embrace the whole royalty thing. Not merely because every other person in Nevarra is probably a Pentaghast. She's a practical soldier.

We have a musical instrument we can't play and a desk where we can't sit, too.

I protest these intolerable conditions.

Yup, on console (Xbox), in ME3. And IIRC, it was calling them on the communicator in Shep's quarters, not clicking the sofa.

Don't recall this in ME2 since I'm a Liaramancer.

In ME2, after the mission, you could call your romance option (Kelly included) up to your room and click on the bed to snuggle together

I would love to be able to do something with my Quizzy's room. And fix the remaining holes. First Quizzy fixad up her room really nice, always thought that Cullen or friends would swing by like in ME3.

Would love to have something to do there. Call up Cullen, Dorian or someone for chess. Gossip with Sera or Josephine and toast chestnuts in the fire. See some actual use of it for function and fun.

I think the Inquisitor's room is too big for the sparse amount of furniture that is in it.  There needs to be the couch and some chairs grouped in front of the fireplace for a grand seating area.  The bed needs side tables on both sides, maybe with books casually stacked on them for a little light reading.  That wee tiny dresser? Come on man.  there should be a bathing area and a dressing screen.  Maybe her desk area could have a more impressive desk, as well as visitor chairs. Also, I may be watching too much HGTV.  You decide.  But as it is, it just seems oversized and underfurnished.

I'm sure there will be a $10 dlc to add ME2 style hugging.

I would have loved to be able to invite your love interest up to your room, like in mass effect. You could cuddle on the couch with them and stuff. In ME3 you could have chats with your friends in there too. They would come see you instead of you having to go to them. I dont know why they didnt do the same with DAI.

We can't sleep in them or on them. In fact we can't sleep anywhere...so why have the beds.

Bioware likes us all standing around. Pffft.

At least i can jump up and down on them without them being covered in mud. Lol. Them Orliaians know how to make beds them their mud proof. Lol.

I'm hoping at least one of the next DLC's will be triggered by us going to our Quarters, and we wake up in the morning next to our Love Interest

Spoiler

It would be a nice touch, and at least our beds would be used for SOMETHING, because I don't think most of the Romance options use it, save for Sera and Bull I think?

I mean, even my Inquisitor with Cassandra ends up sleeping where she sleeps, save for the every now and then moment where they spend the night in the Inquisitor's room.

But yeah, more bed stuff!

Spoiler

This reminds me I should fire up my save to change my Inquisitor's bed back. Originally had it as the Avvar one since DLC, but I don't think Cass would take kindly to that. Then tried the Dwarf one, and just a bit too small. Back to Free March/Fereldan style!
