Try acolyte plus csmg instead for 200 percent cool down, power amp swaps in for more cs and nade damage.

I don't like charge-up weapons.  Never particularly liked the Acolyte, even before they made that change.  Besides, my CryoCS/Falcon spewer is based on a different playstyle.  Namely, indirect fire going for mook suppression.  When cornered by a boss, or heavy armor unit, I whip out the HVB Hurricane, pop AR, and shred them up close.  On Gold games, this kit is rarely outscored, unless I am playing with some of the 1%ers, using OP kits.

the acolyte was charge from the beginning, it was temporarily broken to regular fire when bioware tried (and failed) to fix missile glitching

Mine slaughters mooks too but is more aggressive because acolyte can be fired while sprinting at the enemy, and consumable power amp, pistol power amp and passive power bonuses all boost cs and nade damage. Csmg with piercing barrel is great vs big armour. No ar but with power amp grenades are awesome vs big armour and organics. No worries if you don't like the acolyte though.

Claymore AA, claymore HA... Pretty much that.

Claymore HA is a beautiful thing.  Thanks to Aedolon for introducing me to this golden nugget.

I haven't tried the AA, but I imagine it's a beautiful thing.  I usually equip a Wraith or Arc Pistol on her.  Will give it a shot if I ever play again.

I use it on my javelin wielding drell infiltrator. Quicker cloak cycle = moar kills.

I enjoy the Arc Pistol on her too, and it's probably slightly more efficient too, but Claymore AA has got over 9000 style points B)

Definitely giver her a shot! ;)

Right, cause no one ever needs more than 1 second to aim...

You're a PC player I assume? :P

For us peasants with console controllers, that would require 3 inputs almost at once from the right hand (trianlge, R1 and right thumbstick). I'm not saying that it's impossible, I'm just saying that it is very hard to do all that precisely, correctly and fast enough.

BTW, i think that adrenaline mod, shield power cells or cyclonic are all better choices for infiltrators. I just wanted to point out that cloak recharge speed isn't always useless for every player depending on their skill level and/or platform.

ps3. right thumb aims then I could cloak then fire. moving my thumb from the stick to triangle is very fast and a really short distance to begin with

Hmm, that's impressive. I always have trouble with anything smaller/faster than a prime/brute moving while I tried that. Guess I'm just a lil too slow :P

Snipers are definitely a weak point for me. Regardless, I still say it can be worthwhile for people who are not great with snipers.

I usually just throw these on any character when i'm pugging a quick match. It' can't hurt to increase your cooldown times no matter what kit you are using and when playing Gold and higher, i just like to equip some kind of consumeable that is going to improve my character. Most of the time i use it on my Phoenix Vanguard, but i bounce between that and shield power cells...

I use it on my Paladin. His cooldowns are pretty low to begin with, but tech powers seem to have such a short window to detonate, so I like to have those extra seconds. Plus, I'd rather save most of the alternative gear for other kits.

I sort of was but I missed out on far more things than I didn't, such as this gem of a topic wherein the Huntress' cloak is discovered as bugged (only working with power/melee instead of weapons) and what follows is the general "Bioware can't release anything that isn't bugged, loldevs, skeleton support crew, etc."

It's a long topic (I didn't read it all, anyway), but I found it quite humorous how "bad" people thought the Huntress was at launch - although to be fair, this was before her Power Damage/Cloak buffs, obviously.

I did find out some info I didn't know, though: apparently the cloak was originally supposed to work with weapons too, and either Bioware couldn't fix it or decided that she'd be too powerful with a regular cloak? Thus the power damage buffs.

Fun stuff! :D

We had no idea how good we had it then. They could actually fix stuff on the fly in about a week. With DAIMP, we've still got most of the fundamentals broken.

I use Power Efficiency module on quite a few characters. Any power-based one can benefit from it, really.

For what it's worth, for N7 Shadow (one character I especially like having Efficiency on) it yields a tad higher Shadow Strike DPS than power damage amp. Makes sense that it would: damage has non-multiplicative components that power amp doesn't affect, while the efficiency module affects the total damage.

I use PEM quite regularly on the HE. More Chain Overload means more targets with less shields for my SMG.

Why play DAMP? Just go back to DAO and enjoy the witty party banter, great characters and genuinely enjoyable gameplay. That's what Dragon Age is all about.

Remember back in the day, when DA:I was new and I said that DAMP sucks and you guys were all "No, it's better than ME3 MP!" and I was "No way!" and you guys were "Yes way!" and now I get to tell you that I told you so?

Told you so. :P
