That's just what the mod author had her equipped in when he took the screenshots.
She's still pretty recognizable to me, it actually makes her look normal and less of a abomination that someone makes in CC when they're bored.
I'm gonna have to disagree and agree with you here, yes I think the type of mods people use can tell a great much about them. Some people literally buy Skyrim on PC because there is kinda of a black-market modding community behind that caters a great many fetishes. I've visited said site/community before and let me tell you, if you think a person wanting a mod to change Cassandra's appearance is kind of wrong, you are in for a rude awakening should you visit that site. Here is a short list of things I saw on that site on my brief visit.
There are also people that use mods to enhance their gameplay experiences, such as adding new mechanics, revamping the AI, new companions, better texture and lighting, etc, etc. Then we have people that use mods for giggles, installing the most ridiculous, making themselves into omnipotent beings from the get go and just breaking the game.
It's really fair to judge a person's preferences and ideals just buy what they want in a game or how they want to play, some people just want to have fun.
I don't only thing Aveline left to that mod is hair color. Everything else says: "This is not Aveline" to me. Aveline is perfectly designed for character she is. If someone showed me that mod and asked what DA character it was I wouldn't be able to guess it's supposed to be "improved" Aveline.
Hmm, I'm not big fan of modding, Sims being only game I have modded, so I'm not too familiar with Skyrim mods. I have seen some funny one's though. I guess those are within disturbing one's ^^;
Modding for fun is good reason to mod too, but to me that would be replacing dragons with Thomas the Tank Engine or give trolls to troll-faces (I know these both are Skyrim mods too
), but I don't find making everyone barbies with tons of make-up is fun. Well, I guess all for themselves ^^;
