No one's making socks to talk about how beautiful Cassandra is, and no one's starting the exact same thread over six times a week to talk about how beautiful Cassandra is. Guess which one we're tired of hearing about? I think Cassandra looks fine, and I find all the people I've seen gushing over her equally annoying to those who are hating. The difference is, the gushing ends. This **** NEVER ends.Ever. It's literally every day with it, and it gets old, fast.

And why should it stop? People complain about so many things in this forum. I have seen at least 10 threads about how ugly the Inqusitors Skyhold outfit is and if there are any mods to change it. How is this different? Why can't the OP just get an answer like "no, there aren't any mods yet" and the thread would have died after a day. Just like i said. Some people here feel attacked by the opinion that others think Cassandra isn't attractive and try to convince them otherwise.

If someone is unhappy with her look, I think the Cassandra thread would be the right place to write down his/her concerns.

Well, maybe you're not a troll just yet, but you seem bent on totally misrepresenting what I said. I also didn't post any gifs. I must say though, I admire the self-pity in the latter half of your post, playing the victim in some imagined harassment or attack while you passive-aggressively insult me with lines like the bold. People who say things like that are why people like the OP (and the people defending him) get mocked.

 

They don't just say "I think [character name] is unattractive". No, they say "I think [character name] is unattractive, and I have science to back it up! And if you disagree, then clearly something is wrong with you".

 

And yeah, you actually would be a troll if you think that the Cassandra *appreciation and support thread* is a good place to talk about how much you dislike her. If you honestly expect people to agree with you at all, don't do it in a place where there's a concentration of people near-unanimously against you. That's just stupid. Like going to Wal-Mart and trying to tell the people shopping there how bad Wal-Mart is. Do you think that if they cared about what you said, that they would be there?

Also, ideally one problem would have one thread, instead of multiple ones. Clears up clutter. And then there's the sockpuppet factor. Nobody needs the same guy coming back again and again to **** on the welcome mat.

In my case, I just mock people who whine about characters not being attractive, regardless of how I feel about the character. As far as I'm concerned, if someone is so perturbed by not finding a fictional character attractive that they have to rush to a forum and "OMG TELL EVERYONE ABOUT IT" then that person is in need of a good mocking.

 

It's what makes the internet go around.

This can be said about about so many things in this game. A lot of people complain about much smaller things that the appearance of one of the two straight male romances.The majority of threads are complaints. Actually I'm surprised that in a forum, which is like no other gaming forum focussed on romances, complaints about the look of a LI is something so special.

I think it actually does take something pretty special to make a campaign out of not finding a fictional character attractive, and I can't think of anything smaller to get one's panties in a twist over.

Oh sry, I didn't realize the character forums are just there to admire that character. I thought the purpose of these threads is to talk about a character, who appears in Dragon Age Inquisition.As far as I understand it this also contains the possibility to talk about aspects people don't like about the character. I also don't understand why you assume people dislike her just because they have some complaints. I think Cassandra is one of the most interesting and best written characters. I just dislike how she looks and Im free to express this wherever I want. But like I said earlier. I don't think I have to tell everybody who likes how she looks that he/she shouldn't.

Oh I agree with that. I completed this game only once and in this one playthrough I didn't even finish my romance with Josephine because I just didn't care. But that doesn't change the fact that romances are a huge topic for a lot of people on this forum and most of these people don't get mocked because they have some complaints about these romances.

If that's the case,I fail to see why this is a bad place to talk about what people dislike about her. This is a thread about a character from Bioware's latest game and I don't see that there is any rule that only people who have to say positive things about her are allowed to participate in that thread.

No, there isn't any rule about saying something negative about Cassandra in the Cassandra thread, and nobody ever stressed that there ever was. I DID say (twice) that going into a thread that is 99% positive in tone about a character is dumb. You may as well be walking into an AA meeting and tell the people there how great drinking is.

 

Sure, you're *allowed* to do it, but that doesn't make the action itself any less stupid.

I'm still amazed at how many people claim that the whole issue is laughably unimportant, yet find it important enough to repeatedly and extensively post and tell others why what they posted was wrong, or why they should not post at all, or to post silly gifs / memes.

I may well be wrong and getting the OP confused with someone else, but it was my understanding that apparently the OP is the one that creates alternate logins to post the same stuff over and over.  That alone, the multiple logins, to convey his/her message, I could see folks getting easily irritated with.

I'll say it one last time in the clearest, least ambiguous terms I can muster.

 

Going to the Cassandra thread to criticize Cassandra is stupid. You're well within your rights to go and do it, but it wouldn't be a smart move, since the thread itself is all but unanimously positive in its opinion of Cassandra, going by the people who frequently inhabit it. If you feel the need to say something about her, then make another thread (or find a pre-existing thread that isn't entirely positive, like this one). When you do go and say something about it, avoid flame baiting yourself (a difficult task, I know, but I have faith) by making ridiculous claims like "I have science and charts!"

 

That you somehow managed to garner "they should be prepared to get flamed if they actually do so and so they better just don't do it?" from anything that I've said so far is amazing to me.

 

If, after all of this, you still come away with "so you're saying that I need not bother because of reasons?", then you're a lost cause, because that's not even remotely what I'm saying.

Sorry to disappoint but there is no conspiracy. OP is not just create 50 accounts and post same topic. Well it could be, but I am pretty sure much more logical a lot of people just don't like Cass design.

A bunch of accounts, no, but this is clearly a successor to his previous one, which he spammed the forum with many, many times. He uses pretty much all of the same buzzwords in his arguments.

Apologies for offending anyone, but i am not into politics, I enjoy math and science instead.

 

I enjoy sexy beautiful women. There is such thing as a woman who is attractive to all men if you allow alterations in skin color.   Some men are attracted to bright skin while others enjoy dark skin tones, this has to do with upbringing, culture and the concept of opposites attract. It all breaks down to math not emotion.

Incorrect. The fact there are men not attracted to women but other men already has your science proven wrong. Then there are those who are attracted to someone for reasons other than appearance for a variety of reasons. Science and math goes against your assertion.

 

Cassy has good skin tone and color that can be appealing to multiple flavors.

 

Isabella while on the boat should have deep tan skin, but since she has no boat and is at the inn most of the time, her skin should be whiter and pale.  The mod that make Isabella white skin is justified through environment, role playing and lore.

Or Isabela is just a darker-skinned woman, like she has been the entire DA franchise. If you put someone who is darker-skinned in a room(ignoring the fact she doesn't stay in there all the time and it has windows which allows sunlight in), they aren't going to be suddenly white. Again, science goes against that assertion. 

 

 

Attraction is purely scientific, geometrical and mathematical in nature.  One must study the science of attraction and then normalize the ideal woman that is sexually gorgeous to 99% of males.

 

It's hurtful that leliana, morrigan are stunning, but I am stuck with cassy's face   It makes me sad, because she looks like, i won't say it, but it saddens me.  I have not had this problem in previous bioware content , I don't like what happening with this new bioware.

Earlier you said there is a woman attractive to all men, but now only 99%. Which is it? 

 

You state math and science supports you, but even in your own post both science and math has been opposing you, not supporting you.
