Yes but it is much easier for him to not to spam the thread than it is for me to scroll through that rubbish.

Besides spammed treads tend to get locked pretty fast.

Finally, spamming images is against forum rules so we shouldn't even argue about that.

Agree, let's get back on topic.

Will the upcoming mirror of transformation be locked to PC only ?

Imo they should allow to modify every companion. This way everyone would be able to tweak everything to their likings. No mods would be needed and it would work on every platform. Win-win for everyone.

If you're talking about the black emporium DLC you can only edit your Player-character's appearance.

And this is why I think BW should create a DA: The Sims edition. You can boff whoever you want and create whoever you want.

Jesus frak, 15pages for Cassandra's looks....

There are also ugly men in DAI, yet i see million threads about Cass's face. That certainly says a lot about some straight dudes who can't accept the fact that not all women will suit to their tastes and move the frak on.

I wish BW would make Solas into a female and romance option for lesbians, as lesbians don't get much of a choice in romance options. I just can't romance him how he is, he's a dude.

Straight females get more anyway so this would be no big loss.. just looking at it from a technical viewpoint, here. It's fully scientific.

Actually, that's only about 7-8 pages about Cassie's look, if we're generous. The rest is complaints about the thread, such as your post.

Your foot. You just shot it.

Nah, there were a lot of threads about Cassandra's looks with a lot of pages who got deleted.

Try again.

Can we just not try to turn this into "feminist" propaganda, please? Women aren't blameless, holy creatures, and there isn't some secret agenda men have against women. Not to mention, it derails the thread.

Much like this post does.

Seeing what the topic is, nope ^^ It's actually on topic, because topic is mod changing Cass looks, because she's not "beatiful" enough and none is claiming what you are saying about women, I don't see how that relates to topic.

Its a game, i'm not marrying a fictional character in a game, as i said i'm not invested like others seem to be, i do not live breath and drink dragon age, i play it for amusement, so modding a few characters to my taste is not a big deal to me.

I was referring to the poster saying Aveline looking "better" would explain why Donnic would want to marry her that there are other things Donnic may like that has nothing to do with looks. I never talked about what the player should do.

The implication that women don't complain about or change men's looks heavily places the blame on straight men. There are numerous mods that change the appearance of every male companion in some way. Women are just as "guilty" as modifying characters as the dreaded "straight menz" are.

And, no, we don't need political BS in this thread, much less in the Feedback & Suggestions forum. Yeah, this clown tried to pull math and science out of his ass to justify his opinion, but that doesn't make him evil, or a "typical straight man," as some might imply. I see ignorant opinions, but no woman-hating. The most sexism I'm seeing is the maintained insinuation that [straight] men are more judgmental than women, and women are the victims in this--blah blah blah--and that's coming from some of you, not OP.

This discussion isn't necessary, and no, it's not relevant, and yes, it's derailing the thread more than it already has been. I'll stop now, myself. Frankly, I'm surprised the thread hasn't been locked yet.

It's very much necessary and relevant and it doesn't derail the thread at all which is about modding Cassandra to look better like I said, since her looks are "unsexy" and "unbeatiful". Even if you say it isn't, it doesn't change how I feel about the topic and it's necessity.

This complain has been around since Cassandra was released. And no, straight women or other groups don't bring topics like this up and they don't use sexist remarks to "prove" their cases on how should female characters look and how they can't. There is clear differences between how some straight male gamers talk about LI's and complain about them compared to some other groups and because of this difference people are speaking against it. I also can't speak against something I don't see, which would be multiple threads about how feminine or women looking DAI's male LI's are or how Bioware has agenda against straight female gamers ^^;

Also I haven't said that I'm against all look changing mods in general and I don't think all mods are sexist or wrong, it really depends on reason to use the mod.

I fail to even get the start of Panda's & Partners' reasoning, i.e. what makes the desire to make an aesthetic change a sexist one. The argument would need to jump through so many hoops -- and fails to do so -- that it is simply unreasonable.

1. Opinions about the looks of an NPC are indicative and representative of behaviour towards real people.
2. Cassie is not just one NPC, but represents women in general.
3. 'People' who want to mod Cass's look do not want to mod any male companion's look.

...

All of these would need some sort of (even flimsy) evidence before I'd consider the topic 'sexism' discussion-worthy.

This discussion isn't necessary, and no, it's not relevant, and yes, it's derailing the thread more than it already has been. I'll stop now, myself. Frankly, I'm surprised the thread hasn't been locked yet.

That is very true. Thank you.

The only reason I keep posting to date is that I simply do not want to accept a 'sexism' lynch mob where the prosecutors are the judges and regard proof as superfluous as long as they are convinced of the verdict. Too many innocents will end up on the proverbial lanterns. Like this thread.

Curious how most, if not all, of these threads end up locked/deleted, hm? I'd love to make an analysis of their demise. If I had to put my money on one cause of death, I think it'd be 'blown up by off-topic and unsubstantiated political debates'.

You make it sound like I'm CEO of some company here :P

Forum is usually used for discussion that I'm simply doing here and I don't believe I have gone much to off-topic, well I did reply to some post about ME4, I admit that :) You might have different views about things I have, but it doesn't mean I'm not allowed to have my views or express them in topics that relate to them.

I see that you refuse to acknowledge my points and quite much misunderstand them, take them out of contexts of discussions and replies they are answers to while rearranging them and simplyfying them in manner, that loses original context and points I'm making, but I guess that can't be helped :)

Of course! But a view does not invite to, or participate in, a discussion by its mere existence alone. For that to happen, it needs reasons, it needs examples, it needs anything that goes beyond an idiosyncratic interpretation of reality.

I ask you to make a point to begin with. And by point I mean something that lends itself to a debate.

Many people here have read the threads and posts I'm using as examples so for them they are familiar and enough for me to base my opinions on those. For people who haven't, I can't give much examples other that claiming that something has been said.

I have made my points and you have chose to dismish them, because they don't fit in your opinions and since they have been dismished they can't be debated.

Ahahahaha.

Someone complained once that it "wasn't fair" that straight males in DAI only had two romances where straight females get something like three? Four? Cue a ton of rebuttal about Mass Effect and this. There's way more resentment there than you'd think.

There was resentment for ME3's LI options for straight females number-wise if you are talking about that?

Not just number-wise, but event wise, too. I can't really blame them for some of the second part, though.

Somewhere along the line, but they all blur together after a while.

Someone posts something roughly similar to what a guy posted that got deleted, got re-posted, deleted again, etc. People pop in and accuse Poster X of being Poster W. People start posting wacky gifs and images and trying to one-up each other by trolling OP. People go off-topic until a Bioware mod rolls around and sends it into Rotary File 16 again. Repeat.

Jacob cheating, Thane dying and those things?

I agree that there has been complaints ever those and I'm not against complainin on general. However I haven't seen threads complaining about male LI's looks in same manner as there has been complains especially on Cass looks and I haven't seen people claiming Bioware has agenda against them for not doing attractive characters for them. Though I have seen one thread complaining that Sera and Josie are too masculine for lesbian PC and Cass would be perfect, that thread got quite similar treatment as these one's though.

It's a rather childish cycle that is far too common on the bsn. Because people aren't actually punished for that kind of thing. They know that can succeed in locking threads by being off topic despite the mods actually having the power to hide such posts and issue warning points. You know.. Actually moderating, heh.

You sure it isn't a bit simpler? If mocking a poster is fun, why wouldn't you want the thread to stay open so you could keep mocking him?
