Indeed. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got Cerberus to kick out of the Citadel.

I have a feeling they were just making fun. I mean really.. who would believe she is late 50's/early 60's? She has flawless skin...

No damit I forget her name ah stupid memory "sigh" I cant think of it.
Oh. Mother Giselle? ![]()
But wasn't it established that the main party group was in Their 25's to early 30's in origans so using that I deducted a rather crude estimate I must admit but still it seems about right also Josephien knew Lilliana when they where younger atleast that's what was said add too that the ice queen (damit I forget her name) is a senior enchanter in the circle who it seems personaly new and had experience with the top hierarchy of the circle hm oh well.
Alistair was born in 9:10, which would make him 31 in Inquisition. Context and the official timeline put the warden (with the possible exception of the elf origins) and Morrigan at roughly the same age. Cailan was 25 when he was killed, Anora is roughly 3 years older than him. Of the companions, probably Cassandra and then Leliana are the oldest characters you mention, but I wouldn't put either of them past 37 or 38. Maybe a fresh 40 for Cass.
On topic, what a silly thread. Cass is a bamf.
I cannot help but feel that you are shadowboxing here. I cannot remember that there was such a statement in this thread, and yet the comment 'omg science blah is ridiculous get lost' did pop up. Maybe I'm suffering from selective perception/memory though -- I can't be bothered to go through the entire thread again at the moment, so if I am, I'm sorry.
Just one addition for the sake of precision: "Anyone who finds someone without x feature attractive is wrong or just kidding themselves." is quite obviously ridiculous, as taste is indeed personal and takes all shapes and forms. However, statements along the lines of "x is not needed (implied: for anyone) to be considered attractive, how dare you wish for x / stop wishing for supermodels / ..." is equally ridiculous, because it fails to respect individual tastes as much as the first statement did.
Oh yes, you're riding the 'cultural artefacts are political instruments to influence society' train again. We just have to disagree there. To me art's purpose is political only in the second or third degree, and whether anybody likes it or not is their business. I'd hate to live in a world where art is solely made to force society a into pre-determined mold.
Also, I'm getting a bit tired of your strawmen tbh. "Women can't have wide jaws..." come on, verbatim quote please or just let it rest.
Right, because we all know that John Carpenter really did uncover a shapeshifting alien, which prompted him to make The Thing in 1982. Because visual media is a parallel of the real world.
Fantasy isn't copy of real world, but persons of real world make it and it present certaint things in certain way. These thing can be studied and they also matter, because popular media is not only presentation of the current world, but it also makes it by spreading out ideas and ideals.
Some attraction is based on biology, but it's mostly tied to smell. In reproduction it's important that people's genes are far from each other to avoid illnesses and weak gene pool
However since humans aren't any more so tied to reproduction, I'd like to think that it's mind over matter in these things nowdays and attractiviness is more personal thing look-wise of cource. Smell wouldn't even matter on video game characters. What people like can follow trends though, just like clothing, but it's more of social or psychological thing than biological.

You keep saying this as though it's concrete truth. I'm going to assume the best and hope that you know how stupid that sounds.

I'm fairly certain you don't know how human reproduction works, if you think that it's "mostly" tied to smell.
If you go by that logic, she already has "super hair growing powers", since the braid is new in DA:I and requires pretty long hair to do. For reference, Cassie in DA:KW (how I wish they'd just kept her like that, maybe added the scar but she was absolutely fine then) (spoilered because it's slightly large):
Spoiler
What I don't get is that some seem to think it's this great wrongness that they do not like the looks of a romance option with short hair ^^;
Heh. Imagine all the pain she'll dish out... to herself, when the hair gets caught in her weapons.
Well your point stands. Bioware sucks at making hair, and I'm not one for overdoing realism either. It's a game, so why no long hair. I don't mind as long as it's something different from Cassie's current hairdo (Sera was hit with the ugly hair stick even worse than Cassie though. Seriously, she looks as if she got caught under a lawn mower).
For some reason I can take the braid much better then all of a sudden all of her hair is much longer, although it did annoy me slightly, because I know her hair couldn't grow that fast.
Apologies for offending anyone, but i am not into politics, I enjoy math and science instead.
I enjoy sexy beautiful women. There is such thing as a woman who is attractive to all men if you allow alterations in skin color. Some men are attracted to bright skin while others enjoy dark skin tones, this has to do with upbringing, culture and the concept of opposites attract. It all breaks down to math not emotion.
Cassy has good skin tone and color that can be appealing to multiple flavors.
Isabella while on the boat should have deep tan skin, but since she has no boat and is at the inn most of the time, her skin should be whiter and pale. The mod that make Isabella white skin is justified through environment, role playing and lore.
Attraction is purely scientific, geometrical and mathematical in nature. One must study the science of attraction and then normalize the ideal woman that is sexually gorgeous to 99% of males.
It's hurtful that leliana, morrigan are stunning, but I am stuck with cassy's face
It makes me sad, because she looks like, i won't say it, but it saddens me. I have not had this problem in previous bioware content , I don't like what happening with this new bioware.
Hey! - you and me had a deal from your last thread, you spell Isabela's name correctly and I'll try not to laugh at your threads so much.

Well we know that Dawn of the Seeker was 20 years ago and then that she looked like she was in her late teens/early 20's (but then so does basically everyone in anime) so that would put her at somewhere in her late 30's early 40's.
T.V. & Films generally depict people in their late 30's early 40's as being past it, when really its not that old.
There's a point in here somewhere, I just KNOW it.
No, there isn't.
There are Mods on Nexus, but don't work with Patch 6/DLC.
http://www.nexusmods...ageinquisition/
Some of them don't, but the modders did get mods working. They mention here that most seem to be working, but the Increased Inventory mod is not:

I'll have to assume that you aren't very familiar with social sciences nor biology at this point or then you just want to misinterpret what I'm saying ![]()

No, I'm well aware of social sciences, but I'm also aware to take it with a grain of salt. People, by their very nature, will not conform to a statistic when it comes to something like attraction. Trying to use science to prove a point is meaningless in this case.
I think he's demanding Cassie to look something like this while cursing 21st century technology.

[snip]
For as long as I live, I will never understand the concept of finding anime styles attractive in any way.
I, for one, prefer my humans to actually look like human beings. Anatomical correctness is very attractive to me.
(Now you to can have an abomination of your very own) sorry couldn't help myself but yeah that's not a very pretty mod why would they do that to her? That's just cruel.I think he's demanding Cassie to look something like this while cursing 21st century technology.
Kind of like how it'd be out of character for a practical military woman like Ashley Williams to let her hair down--oh, wait... (I still won't forgive Bioware for what they did to her in ME3 [sobs])
I really liked Ashley...
I think you're in denial and being a tad ignorant-sexiest with your remark about the age a female can be on the battlefield for. So yes Cassandra is infact in her 40's just as Morrigan, Lilliana, Josephien, and the king and queen of Fereldon are all in their early to late 40's but lady montilieh would be late 50's till early 60's you can deni it but it doesn't stop it from being true.
Calm down, no need to twist my words, not once did i say "females".. i said 40 year old warriors and fighters would be past their prime, both sexes.. I personally did not think any of the Companions were 40+ (could i be wrong, sure)..
Do we know for a fact Cassandra was 20 in the Anime, she could be 16-18 she was a seeker since child hood wasn't she? Trained after her brother and parents died which was aged 6? so what age do warriors start work in the seekers..
I think he's demanding Cassie to look something like this while cursing 21st century technology.
Why does she look so Asian in the Anime. She looks great but the eyes are a bit Asian. You did a great conversion of that picture though, great work, even if its a mock up.
Some people have so much talent, i wish i did ![]()
Oh. Mother Giselle?
Thank you "sigh" I have such a terrible memory some times.
Now that - Giselle, I mean - does make more sense. ![]()
I really liked Ashley...
Me too. I'm of two minds about her tbh. On the one hand, I really liked her in ME1+2, so I got used to her looks, and I was a bit taken aback when she changed so much for ME3. I had always felt her (old) looks suited her. On the other hand though, her "stunner" looks in ME3 made her even more bad-ass IMO than before. It kinda suited her promotion to 2nd human spectre. Nothing like a woman that can kick ass AND look good while doing it. More subtly, but perhaps more importantly, it was almost symbolically reflective of her character's evolution as well.
The thing with Cassie though... she got short-changed in DA:I. She was beautiful, somewhat mysterious and exuded a great strength of mind and body in the short scenes we saw of her in DA:KW. She ended up a bigot always teetering on the brink of devolving into a thug, and her jawline was changed 1) not for the better (IMO, I know) and 2) without need. Red panda = sad panda.

I felt as though Ash was a Miranda clone in ME3, and her hypocritical statement about Miranda was too funny. She talks about how Miranda wears a swimsuit in battle, but one of Ash's outfits she wears in battle is almost an exact replica of Miranda's outfit.

That's exactly what I took away from that. It's as though Bioware forgot that Ash is a tomboy, her own person, and nothing like Miranda in any way.
Yes, you can be a badass with long hair, but wearing it down is completely impractical and goes against military regulations. In the first game, she even mentions how you wouldn't catch her in a skirt, but in the third game she wears a catsuit with a miniskirt that would go against Alliance regs. I don't see why they gave Kaidan normal Alliance blues, yet Ashley needs something completely different and character-breaking. And not only is the catsuit her default casual wear, but she can somehow wear it as armor, as well.
Also, they messed up her face something awful. She was gorgeous in the previous two games; what they did to her was not an improvement, especially since she didn't even need an improvement in the first place. (Kaidan did, though, IMO, but the change into a silver fox in just six months is really jarring.) I love Ash, but it's difficult to look at her in ME3. Character-wise, it also felt as though she completely lost her edge. I found that saddening, as well.

The sad thing is i only know Ashley From ME 1 + 2, i never actually got far into ME 3 ( i got off Earth?), i found it so jarringly linear and small closed areas i uninstalled, so to be honest i've never completed ME 3 or the franchise, i never even saw the bad ending.
I also hated how Liara was mostly a bit part after ME 1.....that hurt a lot.
I guess it similar to how i felt with Dragon Age but i pushed myself to complete it, and it did have nice points in Inquisition (i wish there were more though).

Of topic, I know but... you mean you only got to Mars? I consider that one as a part of the prologue. The game opens up after that. Despite the ending (I used a mod), it's amazing game. You should give it shot. (I always let Ashley go boom, myself.
)
