It's useful, if coordinated. I never even notice people using it in PUGs and I usually just go "Oh ok, someone must've revived me and the game just lagged."
Medigel Transmitter really doesn't make sense

You nailed that!!!
If my trigger finger was as itchy as my medigel finger I'd...........probably need some kind of ointment.
Plus I would kill all the things

The problem is you have to die to use it and you have to let everybody know you have it, so they don't gel (which in a team of BSN'er elitists is impossible, cos they are all rage-gellers, me included)
If you're not rage-gelling, you're not playing properly ;-)

Most folks rage gel because they get too caught up in the epeen games. And the more you down, the smaller you epeen gets. Hence the insane popularity of rage geling.
And don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Now, now.. as an admitted rage-geller, I do it for 2 reasons:
1. I did something dumb and don't want someone else foolishly rushing in trying to save me
2. F'n (insert enemy) cheat and I shouldn't be dead haha
I'm confident enough in my scoring abilities that rage-gelling doesn't factor in ;-)

The more other people go down the bigger mine gets.

There's a special place in hell for rage-gellers. I hate failing on wave 10 because the others can't wait for me to revive them on waves 1-3 and run out of gel.
Pro tip: it is not shameful to be revived. It is, however, shameful to waste medi gels for no reason whatsoever.
Again, as an admitted rage-geller, I can't remember the last time I lost a match from running out of gel. If it happens, it's usually because of BS magnet hands
So that leads me to conclude that you just need to play with better rage-gellers haha ;-)

Medi-gel transmitter is easily the worst gear slot upgrade of all time.

It's useless for PUGs games, yeah, but tactics can be build around it in team games with friends. This gear has helped my friends and I in a few occasions when we were doing very hard challenges in platinum (like level 1 characters only with common weapons or other kind of crazy stuff). Shines the most when fighting Collectors (because Scions' grenades + a-bombs = high possibilities of multiple deaths).
Yeah, this is about it. The Transmitter can be used very effectively with a team who communicates well and sticks together (not necessarily camping). It's almost useless in a PUG unless you're getting overwhelmed in a hack circle or drone escort.

Yeah, I've never used it before. Too much communication required. PuGs always rage gel anyways.

I rage gel so I wouldn't even think of using it or care if somebody else had it equipped

So in a game where giant Lovecraftian bugs eliminate all advanced life for its own good, medigel transmitter doesn't make sense?

It's worthwhile if you take it into a PUG and never gel. When people ask, tell them you are out, and the frigging store won't give you any in the PSPs you purchase (trying to max manifest), but you use it because it is your only level 5 gear, and you want to contribute as much as possible.
If you do it right, you'll see a thread about yourself here, and you can give yourself 10 points. If you get hatemail, it is another 5 points. If you get both, you get 5 bonus points.

I wish I had this last night.
I was using the melee boost woooooooo 12% dmg woooo K NO.
The Human Male Vanguard was new (like 40 N7), so the host decided to step it up
to silver 'cause bronze is.. well being a Volus he desired credits n such.
Thinking I could carry as lvl 11 N7 Shadow.. vs Collectors...
THE BEES!
Well all that stood in the way of us and victory, was the medigel equipment.
The difference between a POP AND DROP! (so vanguard could learn explosion
rhythm instead of falling down alone).
I guess he'll just have to learn the primer system, since most of what we could
do (to help deal damage out of our league) wasn't readily apparant.
My guess is that Medigel transfer is meant to actually combat Scion grenade
thingers that get you when ya close together.
BTW!!
!!!
!! Can you use medigel on someone else? !!
For example I've tried to target them and push it, but nothing happens. Is it
like Charge-type abilities, where you have to push it a buncha times on the
internet latency. Or I'm clicking a fool to lose my ally when I should be
considering the battlefield for options... sorry off topic from medigel xmtr.
Medigel xmtr... radius is king for your squad force...
