I am working on finally getting a BotB banner, so I decided to try a Plat solo with the GT (Need more waves for 200 WS and Machine Mastery, 3 more Plat waves on White, and It would finish off my 10th solo mastery, so why not.) 

 

Did it one shot in the fastest time I have managed on a Plat solo (a mediocre 45 min...) and nearly got 10 WS (sneaky Phantom bs).  This kit seems more OP than the damn TGI or ReegarSexbot...  I am surprised that I see this kit so infrequently...

 

Perhaps I will have to spend some time annoying people with it when I finally get my banner lol.

No need to aim with Flamer... but the TGI has Stim Packs. I can't really choose which one is the easiest for plat solos.

Cryo and Acolyte is a combo you see very often on him due to this vid by a BSNer called "Platinum made easy" or something like that. Course any other ammo is better on him (especially Incindiary, of course), thus how you know whenever you see this setup; somebody was really hurting for not sucking at this game and looked up for some cheese help and stumbled upon that video like everyone else. Why I think it's funny everytime I see it.

Yeah, it's a setup I enjoy on him too. More so on the Trooper then Destroyer because I go for max speed on my Trooper. And speed with the Typhoon is really good synergy since you want to find another target instead of stop firing and putting up with the wind up again.

 

I set the Flamer to Shield too since I only use Flamer to prime the cheese away and always finish things with the Typhoon.

I don't get Geth Trooper. Nowhere near as good as Vorcha Soldier / Sentinel with the Flamer (simply because Vorcha has survivability that Geth lacks, even though Geth has slightly higher paper damage), and very mediocre with guns. It's not even in the same league as TGI.

As for a pure weapon build on the GTS, fun for team games, but it is mediocre for a platinum solo.

why wouldn't you take hunter mode with him? boosts flamer damage and fitness isn't needed because he has high base shields and fortification

Vorcha does not have better survivability. On the opposite Geth Trooper is way more survivable. 

 

High shields ---------> High health. Vorcha needs to kill rapidly and keep killing to upkeep his bloodlust, otherwise he's very squishy, while shields on the Geth regen at the same rate no matter what. Also High shields benefit from Cyclonics, Shield recharge cells and various shield gear, while health does not. And since Vorcha has very low shields, the gear will not help him as much as the Geth. 

 

Cyclonic mod IV will give GT 1500 shields, while only 375 to the Vorcha. 

 

Also GT has built in speed, ROF, accuracy and wallhacks, so he can skip Geth Scanner and take something else.

Disagree.

 

You get health regen as a vorcha, but on plat that health drops in a second.  The GT has very high base shields, fortification, and a built in Geth Scanner.  If you put  high level cyclonics on him, he is sturdy as hell.  I just played the two vorcha kits when farming waves survived and I have to say the GT has better survivability.

 

Also, they both get increased movement speed, but I think the GT gets more and doesn't have to kill anything for it.

 

I was running a 66644 build for max survivability. Skipping power damage in passives may have been a bad idea, but I am a scrub and like to not die lol

I would take HM on him, as I run weapon only GTS. Otherwise hybrid flamer-javelin build. I thought the "easy" solo build was no HM with GS.

The movement speed alone makes up for those lost shields... So does being able to take extra consumables (though I just used stronghold) and still have a free GS.

 

Not taking Hunter Mode does not in any way make a solo easier lol

Good as you are at this game, Sinful, I don't think many people are good enough to laugh at Caineghis.

3150 shields + 40% DR + a dodge + a crazy dps with Flamer is what makes me put the GT among the easiest character to solo with. However, Flamer has a 15m range at best, so some setups wouldn't be so easy with him.

Calling you out on this one. I sometimes just get a kick out of using cheese-rollers. Not every game needs to be a challenge to be considered worthy of my time.
