Except with Engineering kit with GT you get 675 without any power amps. Heaven help us if we actually put power amps on him, which again is totally viable. And you can't fearlessly use flamer with vorcha. They aren't as tanky as you'd like to think. They can't just stand out in the open and win. Please watch my video with the geth trooper and stop arguing.

I have. It's not a Flamer build, you're using Claymore, so it's another matter entirely.

Of course. Works like a charm as long as you know what you're doing. You can increase the shields temporarily by deactivating Hunter Mode, but I prefer "a good offense is the best defense" and just kill everything before it even gets a chance to fire at me.

 

If you -really- need more shields, then you can remove 6b from Networked AI and put it into 4b of Advanced Hardware for more shields and health...

 

You did notice that the GT has at least 30% DR through Fortification, right?

I die maybe once a game with GT, so sounds like a l2p problem, and you should be proud since I've never told anyone that before.

 

And 20 Gold games means zilch to me. You've played 6 games with the GT. Try putting in equal time with each kit. I've played over 1000 more hours than you. Don't talk to me about experience. Also, I'm not saying the vorcha are bad. I'm saying your arugment that they're tankier and have a better flamer than the GT is flat out wrong.

One more point. If you're on PC and you play 60 fps or more, there's such thing as much slower regenerating shields if you have less than 500 of them. So Vorcha shields regenerate something like 2 times slower than GT's. 

 

GT is faster, more durable, benefits more from gear and consumables, his Flamer is stronger, he has built in wallhacks, and you can possibly make your weapons more accurate and faster firing, without too much damage loss to flamer. 

 

Talon with ROF and accuracy destroys everything from mobs to bosses and at pretty decent ranges too.

How would you know? Is it on the manifest somewhere? I don't think I've played more than 3-4 GT games, actually. Couldn't stand that torture.

Is that a fact? I wonder how I manage 200k on Gold without even trying. In good teams. Geth Trooper is one of my try-hard kits for the rare occasions I end up on Plat.

Oh stop it. Vorcha NEVER HAS ANY SHIELDS. At all. Stop mentioning shields and Vorcha in the same sentence, those are faulty arguments.

Can you clear something up? Do you have an issue that there are kits that can survive and wreck by themselves? Or the fact that you can do it easier than other kits? I mean not everyone has friends to play with, and not everyone gets on the mics. Some people just want to go play, and depending on teammates can be...problematic...

 

Having said that, when I do roll with a team we tend to play kits that play well together. But when I'm not playing with friends I play what I like, and I don't care if they gel with other kits. That doesn't mean I'll roll GT when there's a team of biotics, but if it's engineers and soldiers I'll do it. I don't care if people detonate my flamer because he dishes out plenty of weapon damage and DOT that he doesn't need it.

 

Oh, I'm just reverting to my old ways again now that I'm getting a much better hang of this game again.

 

For me it's the opposite when I play with friends or pugging. With friends anything goes + I could always make suggestions to friends since most of us use mics on X-Box (but I usually don't and let everyone play whatever they want). But when pugging with randoms, I feel the need to show a little more respect and not epeen my way to the top of the scoreboards with cheese setups and leaving everyone bite my dust, then follow it up with a pic of the score and telling everyone on BSN to look at the lousy pugs I've put up with. Especially if I know better as to how to play this game. So to me that's what decides how much cheese I use + I think it's what everyone else should be doing it like too. If you score too much it makes sense to me to bring yourself down a notch to the benefit & respect of other players your playing with. But if you can barely keep up, yeah, you can cheese it more. But still, certain powers getting abused is really no fun regardless, in my opinion.

 

And it's not about my epeen loss either. As that GT Flamer yesterday didn't outscore me. Heck, the first game I had the Huntress and totally left everyone in my dust since that kit is just a crazy epeen machine. Why my next game was SE with cryo ammo with Lancer + mag & stability mods. Still top scored, but nowhere near as much as with the Huntress, which whenever I play her, always feels like even if I'm holding back (actually not holding back, but under grass influence for that Huntress match & totally feeling like a bad pug player, lol), I still get a crazy score.

 

 

But yeah, hope this clears up what you asked for.

The difference is, GT is much easier to play and be very effective with. A lot of noobs were recommneded and actually completed Plat solos with GT and Acolyte in 40 minutes (much faster than they would normally do), because it's such and easy to play, forgiving and powerful kit.
