Base Shields on a GT is 1000, with full fitness they have 1650 shields.

All I did was open the two builds provided in the post I replied to. I didn't make those figures up.

I realized after I posted that was the case, just know that the GT is much tankier than the VS. As it's not really close you will come to the same realization eventually.

 

I have played several hundred matches with the flamer Vorcha and the GT each, as i'm sure have many other posting here.

Only in the bellies of an experienced player.  Noobs think they're OP, but die all the time because they don't have the headknowledge to make effective use of them.

Outie belly buttons can stop you from getting laid. You're hooking up with this really hot chick (yeah I can dream right) and you're getting really hot and heavy and get her shirt off and then you're stopped dead in your tracks by this belly button that looks like it may or may not contain one of those creepy ****** chest busting alien thingies from Aliens. Before you can process what to say or do or whether this is just a figment of your drunken imagination, the alcohol detours from your brain to your dick and solves this dilemma for you.

It was a traumatic experience, so we'll leave it at that.  It was a damn nice fleece, too.

Uhm. If GT is better, and I absolutely don't dismiss the idea that it is, there should be an objective reason why. I don't see any, and the people who responded hadn't really demonstrated any either, although they've tried.

GT gets solos galore because it's far easier to play than VS on account of the superior durability (due to benefits of cyclonics) and the incredible power of hunter mode.

No objective reasons given except the higher base shields, the DR, the increased damage output, the increases awareness from HM....

 

Apart from that, no-one has given an objective reason as to why.

It is. I was just blown away by how absurdly true it is.  I tried to solo with the TGI and AIU back on my first Plat solo when I was getting fed up and wanted easy mode, but somehow I was doing better with the Slayer anyway, so I just stuck it out.

 

The fact that I did so much better with this kit than kits I was more comfortable with and, in the case of the TGI/AIU, those that are also widely considered OP is notable.

 

If I try another TGI solo though, I may just realize how much I sucked for my first solo. lol

Are you aware that the GT has the world record for the fastest platinum solo with a time just a little over 16 minutes ? In comparison, the fastest plat solo with a vorcha Flamer is longer than 28 minutes. I thought so far that you had "surprising" ideas about the game because you missed experience, but I'm pretty sure now that you are a troll.

 

Yeah but... you need to aim with weapons.    An other advantage of Flamer is its ability to hit several targets simultaneously. 

 

Yeah Flamer can hit more than one at a time.  Weapons are better against single ones though, since most of the decent ones do double hits.

 

Dunvi actually has the platinum solo record at something like 8 minutes.

 

edit:  I don't know why so many posts were bothering to compare the GTS to any Vorcha, as GTS is significantly better at everything except making annoying sounds.

In fairness the Geth Trooper cannot self-detonate 6/6 explosions the way the Vorchas can, but... yeah. He's better at everything else.
