So I want to start a new game but with the same appearance as my old character from my last save game.

Is there any way to get the character settings or slider settings by going into the files of DAI?

Or am I all out of hope and I basically have to eyeball it to make it look my old character?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks :D

Currently, no.

However, in May the Black Emporium DLC will be released for free, and that includes the Mirror of Transformation. This will let you see what the current slider settings are for your old character, if you are willing to wait that long and still have save files you can open to check that character.

Ahh I see. More money I have to spend then xD

Too bad I really thought I'd be able to look into some folders and see the character slides or something.

Thanks though!

There is, if you're on PC. Someone asked a similar question earlier and I wrote a short tutorial on the process - basically there are tools which will extract the slider data from your save files, and you can use that to recreate your Inquisitor in a new game.

So I tried to follow your instructions from that thread, but I just couldn't get the "always on top" program to work. After trying for an hour I gave up.

I then decided to take a couple screen shots and just recreated my character from that. Not too bad honestly. Thanks for the help though!

Sorry that you weren't able to get it to work - yeah, that part required me to muddle around for a bit. Only suggestions (if you ever try it again) are to make sure your display is set to Windowed Fullscreen mode rather than regular Fullscreen (because you won't be able to switch out properly to another program in regular Fullscreen), to press the Window key to switch out of the DA:I program when you want to open up Paint, and to press Ctrl+Space when you've got the Paint program selected so that it stays on top (after the always-on-top program is activated). Seems like you were able to recreate your character in any case - best of luck!
