Approval rating and experience bars?

Two questions if you don't mind.

1) Is there any kind of experience bar, or indicator of how close I am to levelling up? I may be being stupid here, or overlooking something obvious, but I cannot see anything of the kind. Both DA:2 and Origins had a nice, clear XP bar right above the spellbar, but Inquisition seems to be lacking one... or at least my copy is. (BTW I'm playing the PC version).

2) How can I tell the approval/disapproval state of a companion? I often get messages telling me of a companion approves or disapproves of my decision, but I can find no obvious method of checking how far along either path I am.

Thank you.

I've never seen the exp bar, and you can't see approval. You can only tell if you're getting close or distant based on how your companions react to you when they speak. If some of them get too low, instead of becoming rival-friends like in DA2, they will storm out.

The experience bar is under your character profile (where you go to level up) It also shows your influence rank and how much to next level

There is an experience bar in your character sheet - lower right corner.

1. There is an exp bar in the Attributes menu, lower right side of the screen. There's both an Inq level and a Player level bar.

2. They do not have any way to see approval in DA:I, they left it out due to player complaints that the bar was immersion breaking. You can tell if your companions like you or not by the greeting you get when you talk to them.

Never noticed that! Good to know! I usually focus on the tree.

Thanks, I can see it now.

Wasn't aware that people had complained about the approval indicator, I certainly wasn't one of them, I like to have a clear idea of where I stand in relation to companion approval. Surely making it toggleable on/off would have been a better solution?

Oh well.

As I recall, the devs also stated that an approval meter feels more game-y and less realistic.
