Wow Hawke one is weird, Hawke is my fav PC from all of PC this far, I think the voice acting was best and Hawke had most personality.

Not so weird for me. I played da2 before dao. I thought sarcastic Hawke was nice. Then I played the warden, I was amazed how much personality a voiceless pc could have. If the Warden was voiced though, I don't know if I'd still feel the same.

Hawke will forever be tainted by DA2.

And its not entirely undeserved.  Hawke is an abject failure when it comes to the conflicts raised in DA2, they may be more personable (but that's a highly subjective area) but there's no doubt that Hawke failed to protect his family, failed to stop the Qunari attack on Kirkwall, and failed to stop the Mage/Templar schism

It defies my belief how Sebastian doesn't just take this "poll" and run away with it dancing, stopping every second skip to unsuccessfully lay siege to a city before retreating in absolute shame. There is literally nothing redeeming about his character, unless you are a militant (and that's militant with a capital M) follower of the Maker, or a fanboy/girl.

NOOOOOOOOOTHING.

The voting has ended and the most unpopular party belong to the following dishonorable mentions:

Leader: Hawke

No surprise here.

Well, I'm 2/4 with the general population.  However, the other two are actually two of my favorite characters.

For me, my least favorite party would be:

PC:  Hawke

Warrior:  Oghren

Rogue: Sebastian

Mage:  Velanna

I don't particularly hate Seb. I only voted for him because -with the exception of Leliana- I was very fond of all the rogue party members. To me Leliana was extremely boring with a moderately interesting past. Fortunately we got to explore the interesting aspects of her character. Sebastian was extremely boring and his more interesting past was not explored very much.

Hawke will forever be tainted by DA2.

And its not entirely undeserved.  Hawke is an abject failure when it comes to the conflicts raised in DA2, they may be more personable (but that's a highly subjective area) but there's no doubt that Hawke failed to protect his family, failed to stop the Qunari attack on Kirkwall, and failed to stop the Mage/Templar schism.

The way I see it, the real problem lies in the fact that Hawke's allies are either wholly unreliable or in some cases traitorous at the most inopportune time.

-Hawke helps Grace escape the wrath of Ser Kerras, and then she blames Hawke because her crazy ass bloodmage beau attacked first without even so much as a word exchanged.

-When you need the city guard the most, they couldn't tell their sphincters from a hole in the ground.

-Isabela is your good friend and/or lover? Well she's going to run off with the thing that could have appeased the Arishok, and the stupid bovine zealot decides to run roughshod over Kirkwall because what would Koslun do? You would probably have had to duel him in the compound, but the matter would have been settled there with nary a street set aflame.

-Thrask seems like an even-tempered Templar and wants to help the mages, but even if you help the mages every step of the way, he gets into this conspiracy and allies with the crazy Starkhaven mage and helps his fellow dissenters kidnap whoever is closest to Hawke and gets his stupid ass killed in the process.

-Snitch on Anders to the Templars? Yeah so much for the magic police. Suddenly Thumbs Up Your Butt is a passive ability on the Templar skill tree.

-Kick Anders out of your inner circle years in advance? He digs up drakestone and somehow does everything he would have otherwise asked your help with and goes Timothy McMage all over the place.

-Help Orsino? Lol Harvester, b*tch!

-Help Meredith? Secret powers were revealed to her when she held aloft her magic sword!

Like all BioWare protagonists, Hawke is exceptionally good at killing things, but killing things doesn't really work that well for major conflicts if the parties you try to help decide that they're going to fly off a cliff of their own volition.

If the Warden had to deal with the same sort of dynamic, Connor would have destroyed Redcliffe while we went off to hunt for the Ashes, Zevran would have been playing you the whole time, you would have been forced to annul the Circle, and half the nobles at the Landsmeet would side with Loghain no matter what you did or said.

Yeah, I can see Sebastian being the most hated DA character. Same with the rest of the dishonorable mentions, except Hawke. I thought SarcasticHawke had much more personality than the Inquisitor. I also chose Fenris over Carver for most-hated warrior.

For all of Carver's foibles, I'd always favor him over Fenris. He's a bratty goofwad, but he's my bratty goofwad, and won't betray me no matter what. It's just unfortunate that his fate is sealed by being mutually exclusive to Bethany.

Tbh, Sebastian never struck me as particularly militant. He's obviously very devout, but is usually pretty open minded, pragmatic and merciful. I'm not much of a fan of his character, but he isn't the fanatical crusader that some make him out to be.

I never really took Sebastian to be the fanatical type, though his oath to lay siege to Kirkwall over one man was always a bit too crazy town for me. Like chill out bro, just break out your bow and do the deed yourself if you're so up your armor whities about it.

in short, the storyline of DA2 is never gonna be good because Hawke has to fail in many levels for the mage-war templar to start (so that DA3 could capitalize on that).

That being said, the Inquisitor was a close second so it is not universal like Seb or Sera (where they won overwhelmingly in their categories) or Viv whom managed to beat Anders (a known-terrorist).

yes, that did it for me. i can totally understand why he want vengeance on Anders who killed a motherly-figure of him but sheesh, do it yourself there and then and not drag the whole city down with your whims and hypocrisy.

As did I. When it comes right down to it, Morrigan and Sten simply had more interesting things to say, whereas Leliana's stories can be quite cloying. It's like listening to a Jewel album while chugging maple syrup.
