I think that it would be groovy to see a new lead character in one of these games backed up at some point by a ghost army composed of deceased franchise characters. Bioware should start planning for that one right now!

No. Just a new hero teaming up (even briefly in a dlc) with a mixed bag of dead franchise favorites. Don't let Aragorn entice you into thinking that I want a redo of Lord of the Rings.

Ha! The results from round one (Fenris, Merrill, Sera) are three of my favourite companions.

 

Voted Blackwall, Nathaniel and Morrigan for round two. I don't actually dislike any of them, but I like the others more. Well, except Dog... but you can't downvote a dog. That's just mean.

Interested to see Merrill and Fenris got the chop. Expected the horrid Sera to get the boot though.

Voted Blackwall, Nathaniel & Dorian. Mage choice was the toughest of the 3.

Last round I would've voted with the majority, other than Merrill. I love Merrill. 

I also love Sera, but less than Leliana and maybe a hair less than Isabella. I like the way Sera developed and how she was presented better than how Isabela was in DA2 though, so maybe I'd've flipped my vote. Hmmmmmm Dunno.

 

The only character I actively dislike is Fenris, though Dorian has his moments. Most of these characters I really like to different degrees, even the ones I have to vote for given their competition. I like Zev and Carver, really.

I don't dislike Dog, but he always seemed to lose his usefulness after completing a plot mission or two. As much as I like Varric I tend to find myself using other rogues in the games he's in (Isabela, Cole). And Bethany... I remember so little about her, since most of the Hawkes I actually finished were mages.

Well, as for me...

 

Warrior: Tough call between Carver and Justice, but went with Justice since Carver usually dies in my games, and Justice is an annoying constant.

 

Rogue: Went with Zevran. I'm actually neutral towards him, but I like him far less then I like Varric and Nathaniel

 

Mage: I actually like all 3 of them, but I voted on Morrigan because I'm sick and tired of saving her from her stupid plans.

I really like Bethany, but I think she was up against some heavy hitters in the list. Beyond these two, I would rank her above every other mage we've ever gotten in the series.
