DAI choices unlocking but not getting selected

It's been a while since I checked on DA Keep and was thrilled to see a DAI tapestry.

However, I see that some choices I've made (such as the entirety of Wicked Eyes/Wicked Hearts, and my specialization) were unlocked but not actually selected in the tapestry.

This resulted in a big gray "?", which was confusing, until I manually selected what had happened (coincidentally, the only unlocked choice).

Notably numerous choices were already made, properly, such as my race/class, the Redcliffe choice, and whether my Inquisitor attributes her role to Andraste or not.

Use the spoiler toggle and select them correctly

The choices should be auto selected in play through states, and you have to copy them over i not the editable states to view them.

This. The import system is buggy.

Agreed.

I kept Iron Bull part of the Qun and killed off the charges but this option is listed "hidden" for me when this playthrough is almost three months old now.

Yeah I had the same problem as well! His 'stayed loyal' to the Qun tile wouldn't unlock. Could only get my choices correctly by manually picking them with the spoiler tag turned off.

Ah, I wasn't aware of the distinction between playthrough and editable states.

My playthrough state is in much better shape, but still has several choices (mostly companion related) that are unlocked but not selected. Guess I'll chalk that up to bugs.

Most disappointing find so far was that my playthrough state has the default names for my Warden and Hawke, apparently.

That's because the keep doesnt send that info to the game (it doesnt need it)

Well, that info should have been imported with the World State I started Inquisition with though, right? :P

Edit: I just read some more threads and I think I understand. Inquisition doesn't use (and therefore doesn't import) the names (just gender, race, class) and for that reason I get default names/appearance in the playthrough state. Whenever I finish my playthrough and want to "canonicize" that state I can copy it to editable and replace the heroes with my custom ones.

Do I have that right?

Now if only I could figure out why certain choices still aren't getting selected after I unlock them...

Yes, that's correct. Choices unlocking seems to be bugged but can be solved by using the spoiler toggle and setting them yourself.
