Maybe I missed something but I can't figure out how hacking works in this game... I've managed to get one code...

I got Bypass, it's easy but nothing is explained about hacking. The farthest I've gotten is 2 codes.

It took me a little bit to figure it out--you have to find the match to the text pattern that's shown in the upper left of the screen.

The problem I'm having, of which of seen posted before, is that the selection of the code line isn't responding under any keystroke. What should be the use/select/run (something like that) default spacebar, my "e" button, doesn't do a thing in the hack interface. Even when i revert to default keys, still no result. Anyone find a solution yet? I hate missing any story in these games.

The default key is "space." Use your movement keys to highlight the matching text and avoid red squares.

Yes, I had to do it several times before I got the hang of what needed to be done as well.



I actually enjoy it a fair deal though now. The hacking and decryption are much better implemented this time around than they were. I'm pleasantly surprised since I thought it was going to be something I would hate about the game.

i guess the people who don't have this problem obviously can't understand it, so its hard to offer advice. We understand the concept of the minigame, its just not responding to input. Oh well, maybe a patch at some point for the unlucky few who have encountered this glitch.

guys anyone know how to workaround those bypass doors its soo frustrating.. not enough time .. and some missions depend on those bypass doors

Really? I find them to be the easier of the two. Scroll over a circle to see what the symbol is, note what it looks like and where it's located, scroll over another and see what it is. Keep on doing this until you come across one that is the same symbol you previously oncovered, select it and quickly move over the circle that shared the same symbol and select that one. Rince and repeat until unlocked. It's really not that hard, do you have a hard time remembering where the symbols are or something?

Thanks for the help. I think I was missing the thing in the top-left corner. It really needs more explanation...
