Like the title says. I love the "Color My Armor" table. It was a great idea and I'm pleased that you pay attention to the throngs of players who love to change the way things look when they play their games.

It's great not to have to pay attention to color as well as stats when I'm making a new set of armor for Iron Bull. I mean the guy will use a pink sword but does he have to wear pink armor just because it's the best stat for his build? No he shouldn't.

And should Dorian have to settle for purple armor when he's dead set on something more stylish? Okay, Dorian would probably wear purple armor if you asked him. He's a style setter.

Here's my point after degression, where's the black leather? I see every other primary color and several variations but no straight black. The closest I've seen in game is the Great Bear Hide which is an arguable shade of dark grey.

Is there a way to add a black tone to the color palette for the "Color My Armor" table? I wouldn't mind if you made it a third tear and harder to come by. I would be willing to work for it as an armor color. You could recolor dragon scales to black. That would be really cool!

Thanks for the great game BW! I crossed over to the darkside today with over 1000 hours of DAI playtime

I agree, it would be nice to have solid black color. Maybe the BE or next dlc will offer it. Oh, and welcome to the dark side (1305 hours here). We have cookies! :)

Agreed, black is always good, especially considering it goes with almost anything, unlike most of the existing leather colours. By the way, I crafted purple armour for Dorian... on purpose :P  He's fabulous in his purple formal attire.

I put Dorian in orange and red and he looks fabulous! Bull usually gets dark colors but he's romancing my Qunari mage so they are wearing matching colors. Gold cloth accents with Halla leather and silverite. They shine!

Agree Black or a true dark grey would be great. I also wish we could tint crafted shields any colour you want.

There is black leather, actually. It's the great bear hide. What there isn't is black cloth, wich I agree, is a total bummer.

I'd like to add a suggestion, too: have something in your Quarters that lets you change your casual outfit!  I can't stand the color of the current one on my Qunari mage.  He'd much rather wear blue or black than... cream?

It depends on the armor you are tinting. There are some where great bear hide nearly reaches black.

But in general I agree with the OP. A pure black tone is missing for every of the three material categories. This is really a downer because pure black matches with nearly every colour.

I wonder if armor tinting could be extended to Skyhold pajamas and ball uniforms? It would be very nice response to feedback from Bioware since those two clothings are pretty complained about and there is also mods that recolor them, but non-PC players can't use.

Technically, they already do, so I imagine it would be very easy for them to implement. The Skyhold outfit is beneath every armour in case you weren't aware, and is readily visible and tint-able on some mage armours already. Also, you get schematics for formal attire which you can tint, so that's there too. Why they don't just add that as an option to wear (would be great for judgements!) as well as an armour toggle is beyond me. Both are EXTREMELY easy to add (modders have by switching a 1 to a 0), and that's the main reason I'm so annoyed at Bioware about the outfits.

Yea I have noticed both, but I don't get why I can't do the armor myself before going to ball, because after it the uniform isn't quite armor-looking so it's odd to use it after ball at least to me. And why the ball uniform doesn't have any good stats, but the uniform schematic does, it's weird

I wonder why Bioware hasn't done this yet, because like you said it seems it'd be simple for them to do.

Just to be clear, are you saying it looks different before and after? Sorry if I misunderstood. I do think it would be nice to choose the colours beforehand though! And maybe an option to have those colours apply to the other Inquisition people - or not - to have the Inquisitor stand out. It is strange that the schematics is much better though.

Please add more color to the armor... however it is really weird to be walking with green armor and then a pink sword, can we please get a Weapon and shield color changer? It can't be that hard!

I agree, weapon-tinting should be next. But if I had to choose, I'd take more hair or more outfits at Skyhold over that.

I really do not think it is a "choose" situation, you know? Yes I want more hair and outfits too but that would be harder to implement into the game than the weapon tinter. I feel that it would be more common sense for them to add a weapon tinter. I mean they can debate on whether they want to add more hair and outfits, they would have to design them on paper, create them in 3d, and then implement it into the game.

now don't get me wrong. I am not saying do not add hair and clothes. in fact I am really hoping that they do implement it into the game. I am just saying I would shake my head in disappointment if I see that before a weapon tinter because they just need to slap it on to the armor tinting table.

Agreed. Since they already have the tinting mechanic in place I don't think these are mutually-exclusive things. Just... saying what I prefer I guess. In fact, they also already have Skyhold outfit tinting indirectly in place, as well as armour toggling (like Haven.) All they need to do is give us access. And yes, adding new hair is much more difficult than anything above, but apparently they managed to have a working Cheese-Shield in the game running an hour after coming up with that idea. I know hair is harder, but they have had months :P

Agreed, the tinting mechanic can make a world of difference to the game if they implemented it better and I am hoping that they have the common sense to add it soon because it would be silly if they didn't.

and yes they have had months to create... but when did they start thinking about it? that is IF they have thought about it hair. I hope they brought it up and at least considered it... there are so many posts on this forum about more hair and the PJs. I hope they have actually read them and thought about them.

I'd say there have been enough threads about hair and PJs that they know a large portion of players are dissatisfied. We'll see what - if anything - they'll do with that info. Personally I think it would generate a lot of goodwill if they fixed both problems.

That's because there's no color black in the base game.

This.

You'll very seldom find true black in any piece of artwork. And since the tints are textures, they can be considered "art". Same goes for pure white.
