The numbers in brackets are the difference to the basic movment speeds (The fist group of numbers)

Yes the Strom Speed is the speed while running.

The Combat Walk Speed is the speed while using the "sights" of your gun.

And the Combat Ground Speed is the speed while moving without running or aiming.

I'm not sure about this but I think the speed penalty by certain guns is a modifier within the gun itself that just doesn't apply for certain kits.

I still don't understand the bolded part. I mean, I understand it, but could you give an example.

And for Combat Walk Speed, you sure it's the aiming down you sight speed or just while firing speed? Because last I checked, you can't move while aiming down you sights.  :P

Yes, some kits have certain modifiers that really prevent you from moving much at all while firing (not scoped in). And I do see that the kits with high Combat Speed to be among those kits not affected by it, so I kind of made a little connection, but my understanding of it is still very clear and could all just be based on what yo said of it not applying to certain kits.

Basic Movement Speeds (for most races and classes)
AccelRate: 1500
AirSpeed: 1000
CombatGroundSpeed: 350
CombatWalkSpeed: 130
CoverCrouchGroundSpeed: 400
CoverGroundSpeed: 375
StormSpeed: 700

Batarian Brawler
Batarian Sentinel
Batarian Slasher
Batarian Soldier

AccelRate: 1000 (-500)
CombatWalkSpeed: 330 (+200)
CoverCrouchGroundSpeed: 350 (-50)
CoverGroundSpeed: 350 (-25)
StormSpeed: 800 (+100)
StormSpeedScale: 1
StormSpeedScaleTime: 3
StormStartSpeed: 0.5

The first number is the actual speed value. The number in parenthesis is the difference between the basic movement speed variables between base classes and the class you are looking at. IE basic classes have a acceleration speed of 1500, Batarians have an accel speed of 1000, difference between these is 500 which is the number listed in parenthesis.

For the Example see NuclearTech's post above. That Example is proberbly better than any of my tries. ^^

Yes I'm sure. Most weapons in the game don't have a speed penalty while only firing. But all kits move slower (but they still can move) while only holding the aim button.

(Btw I think I just ran into a joke/trap without even getting it...)

Alright, very much thanks to all that helped me out understand this better.

And all that is left is for someone to one day look up the numbers for the last DLC character kits. Like how good is the Jug walking speed, where does the Collector fit in, does EDI-Bot benefit at all from being machine, or does the Cabal share the same default speed setting as one of the other Turians? Ditto for the WarLord, does his much more massive Krogan Legs gain any extra speed over regular Krogans?

Someone could comb through the coding if they gave a damn to, a lot of stuff I would guess is the same though. Vorcha Hunter was one of the later kits to come out and the thread is updated for them.
