Okay, end of act 2 she had 240 mana while only having willpower at 14 thanks to 42 constitution combined with blood magic items. Act 3 rolls around... And she has a pitiable amount of mana. The blood magic item now only makes her gain no more than 10 mana even though her health is as high as ever. Switching items around like taking the blood magic ring off and on again, and resetting her with a makers sigh, does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. So she's now stuck with almost no mana at all and her blood magic item is barely working. The jump from act 2 to act 3 somehow caused it.

Is there a way to fix this? Googling this problem has turned up no good results, so I think what I have right now is maybe a new glitch.

Oh, and blood magic items are supposed to stack? That isn't happening either. Equipping more blood magic equipment causes ZERO change to her mana amount over wearing just a single blood magic item.

Put all her points in magic and constitution, her blood magic raises her mana to a little over the amount in her HP. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but there it is.

What in the goddamn hell?! Anders used a makers sigh... And Merrill's mana shot WAY up. And putting points into his willpower LOWERED her mana back down. It's like they're sharing willpower stats. And both using them at the same time causes both of them to get bloated mana gauges.

What kind of weird ass glitch is happening here?!

It gets EVEN WEIRDER. Their mana bars are what are increasing, but the actual mana in their attributes remains at base levels despite their mana bars both being pretty much max size. So I don't know if that is counting. However, I'll be getting into a battle soon and I'll find out if their mana really is as big as the bar would mean or if their mana is still tiny even if the bar is bloated.

The bloated gauge IS NOT REFLECTING on their mana after all. So Merrill isn't actually being affected by Ander's willpower stat, and I just realized that blood magic items have no effect on her right now. The 10 mana from equipping the ring is because it actually gives 10 mana, nothing to do with its blood magic boosting attribute.

This glitch is nasty. It's pretty much broken her in terms of gameplay, she's pretty much not usable now.

Using Blood Magic doesn't affect mana. It just replaces mana with health, as a source of power for spells. Mana remains the same.

Merill doesn't need mana.

It's not weird at all. The mana/stamina bar reflects PROPORTIONS of party members mana. So for example, if Anders has the maximum lenght of mana bar, and has let's say 300 mana, and Merill has 200 mana, her mana bar will be 2/3 of his in lenght.

If you use Maker's sight on him, his willpower resets, his mana falls down to let's say 150 - making Merill the party member with highest mana - so her 200 mana bar will have maximum lenght, and Anders will have mana bar that is 3/4 of hers lenght.
