I ask this as Morrigan narrates the epilogue in Inquisition...is she the new storyteller? Or was that a one off.

Or did Varric get fired? :)

You will recall that in the first trailer Morrigan was the narrator, so for DAI it would seem that is her role.    Varric was narrator for DA2 because it was the story of his friend Hawke and he had actually published a book on the subject.    His work on the Inquisitor is still in progress.    So, no, he didn't get fired, it's just not his story.

Do you think Claudia Black/Morrigan will take over the role of the narrator in the DA Keep too, or are they gonna stick with Brian Bloom/Varric?

She has pretty pleasant voice at least. Though I hope Bioware moves on to other characters.

I think Morrigan is going to be taking on a more recurring role in future games, which is something I don't mind at all.  ^_^Honestly, I would like her to do the narrations and storytelling. It makes sense as well as we are now seeing things that are distorting how people (within the game) are viewing the world. No Maker. Eluvians popping up. Elven Gods walking around... The person telling the story should be the one who knows all, or at least most of the facts.

She knows a lot more than Varric. She might be arrogant but that has nothing to do with the fact that her knowledge base is far superior to pretty much everyone else.

Yes it does make sense to have Morrigan as narrator...plus Varric said we would only stay with the Inquisition for a short while...he wants to go back to Kirkwall.

Varric was part of the Inquisition since day one,so I think it makes more sense to have Brian Bloom narrate the events of DAI in the Keep.

I didn't really like her as a narrator. Most of the stuff she was talking about didn't seem like stuff she'd actually be interested in. If the epilogues had been more focused on magical stuff it'd be different, but it all seemed too mundane for her.

Varric would have been better. Or Leliana, though her potential personal involvement would complicate things.

Yeah, but he also narrated the events of Origins despite not being present during the Blight. I think someone like Leliana (or Morrigan or Alistair) should have narrated that part.

Agreed,Leliana should've been the one narrating the events of the Fifth Blight.

But Alistair and Leliana could have been dead (never in MY games)  :P so I can see them not being good choices for doing the narrations. Especially Alistair...as much as I like hearing his voice, the potential choices for his fate would make it strange to hear him talking about the what happened in the game.  Can you imagine drunken Alistair doing the narration? Or, dead Alistair?  :(

I've always thought Flemeth should be Dragon Age's go-to narrator, as she's always been the sort of omniscient observer nudging events on ocassion. It would work nicely.

I guess the ending makes that impossible, though...

Way to go! I wanna see that.

Though Leliana still seems the obvious choice for the role of DAO narrator since she was somewhat retconned not even once- she's alive regardless that you've killed her and she seems to know the Warden even when she was not recruited.

Let's make a point at how much sence the narration of DA has been over time.

First it was Duncan even after he died. Then it was Varric. And for dai it was Morrigan.

Leliana is problematic because you can skip her recruitment entirely. Plus, I think she has a terrible narrating voice.

She's a bard.

The conversations with her in dao was majorly her telling you stories.

I thought her stories were kind of painful to listen to. She just doesn't sound right for an actual narrating voiceover to me.
