About a week or so ago, I've been busy with work and I promised myself that I'd get into The Last of Us over Easter (which I did)

I also started Tales from Borderlands, finished episode 2 of Life is Strange and started another ME run.

My issue at the moment is finding game time, I've been watching more T.V. and reading more recently so if I only have an hour or so to play a game, it's not going to be DA:I because I'll get so absorbed that I wont stick to that hour and stay up to late.

It's been about a week.

I got this game as a gift for Christmas. I've played off and on because it was so broken, I couldn't really tolerate it. No music, no banter, conversations being cut mid sentence, cinemas being cut halfway through.  Missing half the story kind of sucks. Not to mention the glare.

They fixed my problem with patch five and it's a beautiful game, but I have a problem getting past level 15 or 16 because everything becomes

to easy and I'm playing on nightmare.

I went back to Dragon's Dogma and have just visited this site off and on.

I rediscovered that I liked the pawns better then the companions in DAI. (for those who don't know, a pawn is a CC companion that you make from the same CC as your protagonist)

When my character was dropped by a snow harpy, my pawn actually ran to one of the warriors who have a skill for lift and throw and used him to throw him and catch me before I hit the ground. Talk about team work.  :)

I also liked flying on the griffin and seeing my pawn right next to me and the other online pawn that snagged a ride as well.

They also pick up everything and do my mining for me. ( hint ,hint. )

I am also more connected with my character.  I haven't figured out why this is missing in DAI but it is. Maybe CC, story,  combat or not being able to level up my attribute points.

I don't know. I was connected with my character in DAO and DA2. I even played Reckoning and that character I'm connected with as well. It is just missing in this game.

I lost interest in the game soon after the fourth patch. Tried to make a new playthrough twice afterwards, lasted about five hours on nightmare before being fed up with the loot system. Then once the six patch arrived, I decided to roll a new character and the screens have started to load in slower on PS4. That was my cue to stop playing. It seems that the more they try to fix the game, the more they break it for me. So technically, haven't played the game since I finished my first playthrough back in February 2015.

Haven't picked it up since...December/early January. Finished a completionist playthrough where I romanced Cassandra. Tried to restart, got 5 hours into it, and then wondered why I was bothering. There weren't a plethora of different choices to make, and I didn't really want to romance anyone else, so why bother?

Ah ok :-) I thought yours was worse than my 2 months first playthrough.

I haven't played DAI for a few days.  I am still on my 1st playthru of DAI, at 'Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts'.   I play DAI on Xbox 360 and purchased the Deluxe Edition (for $69.99 USD from Gametop) the day the game launched.  I will likely wait until all DLC has been released before I finish my 1st playthru.  I honestly cannot see myself playing DAI a 2nd time, at least not until I can finally afford to get a PS4 or Xbox One.  At that point, I would likely wait for a GOTY version of DAI that includes DAI and all available DLC.

A week ago...then I uninstalled because I finally admitted myself there is no way in this world I can keep playing this game anymore. I doubt there will be ever good enough reason to install again. I will not support this game by buying DLC's. My little personal protest.

Few months. And the more time passes the more I get confused about DA:I quality. I mean - seriously, GOTY?..

I had a bad feeling about the game's quality immediately after buying it the day it was released and seeing a typo on the back of the box.

Spoiler

Anyway, it's been less than a month since I played. I don't intend to play DAI again until the Black Emporium is released, but even then it may still end up being somewhat of an indefinite hiatus.

The only things making it remotely worth playing, for me, are Dorian, Varric, and Cole. It's tedious and boring, and once you learn how shamefully short the main storyline is, you understand why they stuffed so much filler "content" into it. Its presentation is sub-par, and it's full of various inconsistencies when it comes to certain character's personalities (but then, they do that a lot; A+ writing, BW) and certain "canon" lore. Either way, I'm really upset at myself for spending nearly eighty bucks on this.

I started playing when I got the midnight release... Have yet to finish 1st playthrough. I now tend to play about once a week, for a couple hours. Last time I played was... 2 weeks ago, I think.

Well, to be fair, the typo is in an IGN quote, so maybe they just printed what IGN said on the back, typo-and-all :P

In my opinion, they either should have added "(sic)" which still wouldn't look good, or they should have avoided the word with the typo altogether. They get to pick and choose what part of the reviews they include, so why include the typo, if it really is on IGN's part? Printed mistakes make terrible first impressions. (Ignoring that there are spelling/grammatical errors in the game itself. One I can think of off the top of my head is occasionally using "who's" when they should use "whose" and so on. I guess they took more than just level design from Skyrim, hey-o!)

Don't worry, I thoroughly meant that as a joke :P I actually googled IGN's quote after and it turns out they did not make a typo; it was indeed a printing error on the game's part. So, your point stands. I agree that it's pretty bad to have such an egregious typo (in a quote no less) on a cover that will be printed millions of times, but it's hardly the fault of the developers. Typos in the game like the ones you mentioned, are, though. Would I like them to never have typos? Of course, but just given the tens of thousands of dialogue lines in the game, it doesn't bother me too much, as long as it's not something really bad.

Edit: The grammatical errors that are pet peeves of mine are the ones that you can don't need subtitles to notice - IE spoken dialogue. Common examples: "There's things over there." "One less to worry about." At least that one has a history ^_^

I stopped about 2 months or slightly less ago and have been playing Fallout as a change of pace since. I was planning on going back on when JoH came to the 360, but after seeing the reviews about it not being worth the money, that is now doubtful.

Sometimes I have to keep in mind that when writing individuals, not everyone is going to have impeccable grammar. You have your smart characters with perfect grammar and spelling, your "average" characters with common mistakes, and your uneducated characters (makes the most sense with peasants) who are chock full of mistakes. On the other hand, I have to worry if I'm simply giving the writers the benefit of the doubt, and that they didn't actually put this much thought into individual character intelligence and speech mannerisms. Of course, I think too much as it is.

Spelling and grammar errors in subtitles, though, definitely are the writers'/developers' faults. Especially the awkward inconsistencies, such as, when Zaeed says to "get the shutters open" during the mission to recruit Garrus, when the actual objective is to get the shutters closed.

I do plan on replaying Inquisition but i'm waiting on more patches and DLC first, kinda want it full to play through a second time.

I couldn't force myself to play anymore about 2 months ago.   I don't like the game-- the lack of storage made it pretty much unplayable for me.  I assume that has been or will be patched at some point, but the lame cast, story, gameplay, mountains of filler, etc. won't be so I just don't really care.  If I could go back in time, I would stop myself from buying this game.

As of patch 5, there is now storage, but... at what cost?

One thing that confuses me about the addition is that it's only accessible once you get to Skyhold. Prior to that, you still have to hold onto all your junk. Bioware continually makes questionable decisions even when they try to "improve" things.

I feel the same way. I have a deep regret of paying so much for this game. My boyfriend was completely right when he suggested that I torrent it first to try it out before buying it. But, I had hope and high expectations and faith, and, man, was I let down. On the positive side, this game taught me to have low expectations for everything from now on! B)

I feel bad for people playing it. DAI made me play a lot of games I skipped for being "bad", they all seem marvelous now! Yesterday I finished Sacred 3, I swore on my grave I would never play that disgusting thing but after DAI I enjoyed it very much! Now I started Fable 3. DAI gave me 100% resistance to awful games (aka not Stat Success Based RPG). I'm thankful Bioware made a game so awful it made me enjoy all kinds of games! I'm even playing RTS! (Which I had abandoned for over a decade)

This game is so awful it is miraculous! Thank Bioware! On a side note I'm considering playing the Witcher 3, I hated 1 and 2 but after bearing Inquisition I'm confident I can bear EVERYTHING! I feel like Supergirl and all awful games are like puny bullets unable to even scratch my skin! (Too bad Inquisition still feels like Kryptonite =( )

Since patch 6 -- which crashed my PC so hard it won't even boot to BIOS. Haven't had time to repair it. Was enjoying the game (500+ hours), but I'm pissed.

9 dec. 2014 so roughly 5 months ago, shortly after 1st playthrough.

Loved the variety and beauty of environments + everything on Morrigan and Flemeth, but that's about it.

My main impression remains that I played a dumbed down, choiceless, buggy and frustrating console action game/mmorpg. We're so far away from the depth in gameplay, follower/dialogue writing and actual roleplay that was found in DA:O or Kotor at this point.

I thought I'd play again once the game would be fixed on pc so I check here for patches but it seems it's not gonna happen so yeah...
