Time Lord?

The story goes something like this. After each life the soul leaves the body then spends time in a place called purgatory to review the previous and picks the next life to learn lessons. It takes several lifetimes for the soul to learn all its lessons to reach full "enlightenment".

Its just a fairy tale tho and not to be taken seriously. Still an interesting concept though

Well according to the myth, any lessons a person failed to learn in a current life will spill over into the next life with a different family, lifestyle and life situations etc... The more lessons you learn then the less lives you live on earth.
