Most of us, have invested a lot of hours in this game called Mass Effect 3. Throughout those countless hours, many of us have certain kits that have become "go to" kits. Some stick to builds that other players use a lot, too. But we all have our own - what I call - custom shop builds; the builds that aren't the nor, per se. Or just builds that people associate with you. So what are these signature builds of yours? In other words, what builds should have your signature on it?

 

 

The main ones for me:

 

Spitfire AIU

 

Extremely powerful and versatile, yet almost nobody plays the AIU with a Spitfire. If Bioware catches wind of this extremely OP build, they will terminate me via the dreaded "Ban Hammer" right away. So, hush...

 

 

"LeBron James" (Claymore Novaguard)

 

This build is what I used when I entered my first Platinum game on accident. To top it off, I had no equipment and no gear bonus on. I searched for Silver, and I got Collectors/Jade/Platinum. I will never forget that game. That's why I go back to this build from time to time. I coined it the "LeBron James" build, because the Novaguard dunks as well as King James does, even better with a Claymore to make a statement.

 

 

More will probably come to mind, but these kind of stick out.

I seem to have acquired a stereotype on PC of always playing the BW SI, so much so that RidiculousMammaries refers to me as Jondum Bau, or when he's feeling less polite, "skinny butt"

I know the GI is more powerful, but I feel that I contribute more overall with this character, and if I do have to clutch I'd much rather be playing this kit than most others.

May not win many awards for efficiency but damn fun to play.

I dont think I'll ever be associated with a build because I use all kits except for five which I deem to cheesy for my taste, and because no one knows me. I would however have liked it to be one of these, which I find the most fun:

BatSent with maxed out powers and passives + Raider
TSol without marksman + Saber
Human Engineer specced for chain overload and shock drone + any smg that isn't the hurricane
FQE with maxed powers + Claymore
Any Krogan with a Claymore except the Krolord.

Sorry, can't pick one and didn't really follow the guidelines, but couldn't help myself.

Sniper Huntress I guess is my "signature" class. Dark Channel, Black Widow, Warp, Black Widow.
 
 
Durable Speedy Javelin FQI is my Comfort Class.
 
I also like to play the Suicide Bomber Fury.
 
Oh, and what my friends call the Broken Shadow. She has absolutely NO durability whatsoever.
 
Oh oh, and my Pistol Destroyer is fun. Not that unique but I like being the big guy with just a pistol.
 
I usually don't actually use level 4 equipment unless on platinum.
 
EDIT: First I forgot to change all the weapons to level 10.
 
Also adding my Fire-Explosions-Without-Incinerate Engineer.

Venom melee saboteur

Eagle smashdept & smashguard 

Scorpion kroguard (ya, I use a pistol on kroguard, haters gonna hate) - good use of martial biotic amp as I use barrier and melee a lot.

Falcon melee paladin

Spitfire Krosol

 

I have rarely seen people use these combos. The rest of the kits I use are not exactly my 'signature' builds as I have seen a few others use them - acolyte justicar, adas QFE, venom SE/SI.

I don't think anyone would "associate" these builds with me, but these are builds I love that I rarely see others using.

 

Weird 5/4/6/5/6 Melee Krogan Soldier - normally use Claymore, Grenades, and Melee, but the Falcon comes out for Phantom/Dragoon waves and also sometimes when I just want to have fun.  Pizza delivery with Adrenaline Mod and headbutting is awesome.  I will literally fight you for the pizza.  And yes, maybe this build would be better with the Venom instead of the Claymore/Falcon combo, but screw that.  I'm a Krogan, and I have more fun shooting the Claymore.

 

Valkyrie Geth Engineer - what I do with all my headshot consumables

 

Executioner Human Engineer - super fun OSK machine with tech combo chaining

 

Crusader Salarian Infiltrator - similar to the previous build with OSK capability for a lot of Gold mooks, except after your OSK, you keep shooting other stuff instead of chaining tech combos

 

EDIT:  Also Paladin Justicar - Just keep spamming Reave as much as possible, try to keep enemies at mid-range.  Use the bubble when they get close.

I'm sure every possible combination is being used by someone, so there is nothing unique. But here are some builds that I use all...the... time... (because I am uncreative and too lazy to re-spec).

 

Lancer Asari Huntress

6/6/6/5/3, relying on Cloak, RHA, and dodge to stay alive. Stability Module III in the Armor Bonus slot instead of Cyclonics for even more squishiness!

 

Sabre Turian Ghost Infiltrator

0 Fitness because Cloak and StimPacks mean you don't need Fitness. Also, the Sabre is a more elegant weapon than any other AR.

 

Sabre Volus Engineer

marksmad may have coined the 'Sabre Volus', but I see myself playing this guy with the Sabre more than anyone else (on 360 at least). Because of the slow cooldowns, this build emphasizes gunplay more than most of my builds. Although I do stack up the recharge speed stuff to give him some tolerable cooldowns. Also 0 Fitness because the piddly shields a Volus gets ain't going to matter.

 

Acolyte Krogan Sentinel

The most blasphemous non-Krogan gun, but it combines extremely well with his powers. Disruptor Ammo + Incinerate + Lift Grenades = lots of explosions. Credit to INVADERONE for the idea here.

 

Hurricane Alliance Infiltration Unit

On Gold and below, even missing out on the shotgun synergy, she is still incredibly powerful. Armor Piercing Rounds IV on the Hurricane chews threw enemies astonishingly fast. And when you're not doing that you amuse yourself with Cloaked Heavy Melee hits (over 1,700 damage to non-armor).

I use the batglove because with it you can :

- Behead stuff;

- Chain Heavy melee, headbut then falcon punch;

- Get rid of the fugly rocket launcher on any map.

Krogan holding Acolytes look really, really funny.  Like they're holding a little toy pistol or something.  I played a game with the Warlord and the Acolyte one time just for sh*ts and giggles.

I don't have a signature build, I switch kits every 2 or 3 games because otherwise I'd get bored.

 

But you could consider my tendency to adhere to the lore whenever practical as a signature. Geth wield Geth weapons and so on.

Can't think of any signature build :/ I'm at the stage where I'm happy to find any build that just works - and those usually are the common sense builds.

Maybe Quarksman the Gethbuster. I hadn't seen anyone use anything similar. Or kill Geth quite as fast with any other character, for that matter
