It's funny you should say that. Yesterday I was pugging Gold on PC and there was an SI with an Incisor. I gave him a sidelong glance at first but he rocked it for the whole game.

 

...So, are you secretly slumming it on PC, or do you have a fanboi? :D

 

Well, I don't know who that player was. But it sure wasn't me, even I play on PC.

 

But, I guess I should be happy that someone else had seen the light too. :D

Come on Lucky, quit trolling us now. SI with Valiant is nearly as powerful as BW SI.

 

To a degree, I agree with Lucky. Valiant is a little underwhelming, if you compare it to BW. This is best seen when shooting Atlas with Phasic ammo and same mods at both SR's. Even with cloaked shots, Valiant does lot less dmg.

 

But in general, what makes Valiant nearly as good as BW, is faster RoF and lot more forgiving missed shots.

 

Though also in Lucky's case, biggest reason for Valiant feeling underwhelming is that it's only lvl 2 with Lucky. That ain't good lvl.

 

TC damage bonus extends to all attacks up to 2.5 seconds after you break cloak.

 

Wait, TC damage works even after cloak is over?

 

Interesting. Because in most cases I can get only 2 cloaked Valiant shots and third goes uncloaked. And the third shot does lot less damage.

I proudly claim exterminator Krogan sentinel build for 100 enemies mod and any husk mod. Works like a charm most of the time. Can substitute disruptor ammo with incendiary for regular gold/platinum and strength enhancer with targeting VI or assault rifle amp. Also can change high caliber barrel on scorpion to melee stunner.

Forgot to add one weapon and character combo that I have never ever seen anyone else use on gold, but I do it a lot.

 

Salarian infiltrator with Incisor SR.

 

And I have to say, that weapon way too underrated as it's actually really great. When you use with incendiary ammo and stability consumables, it's truly effective killing machine. You can do plenty of TE's with Incendiary ammo and ED/Proxy, huge clip makes it possible to kill multiple troops in short time and dmg is still high enough to kill heavier units easily.

 

The Incisor works pretty well with the Turian Sentinel.  With stability bonuses and extra headshot bonuses and all, it takes out mooks pretty quickly and reliably.  And it's light, so you can use your powers a lot.

I always thought it was 2.5 on the damage boost, 1 sec to break then additional 1.5 secs for added damage regardless unless you allowed the cloak to break on it's on. Did you ever get clarification that it was only for immediate decloaking? 

 

Yeah Cyonan confirmed that my understanding of his phrasing was right. If you decloak as soon as you cloak the cloak lasts 1 sec and you get 1.5 of bonus after that. If you decloak after say, 2 secs, cloak goes away immediately and you only get the 1.5 secs.

 

The Valiant's rate of fire means that all three shots in the clip can benefit from the cloak bonus. With the BW it's the first two.

 

Actually, you can fire all 3 shots of the BW under the cloak bonus, provided you fire as soon as you cloak and you don't spend time aiming (firing on bosses). If you need to spend time aiming, you're either an awesome marksman, or you're out of luck.

I think I'm the only one that goes shield dmg on the Geth Trooper. And why not. I always only use Flamer as a quick opening prime then focus on my weapon until all is dead in front of me. Enemies first line of defense is shields, the rest incindiary ammo with a pierce mod can handle/melt np. Works really well that I never had to respect the GT since. And best of all, no need for Pink Pistol. Just pure weapon focus bliss.

 

Weapon of choice is the Typhoon with Thermal Clip Gear/Barrage Gear/Armoured Compartments Gear or Harrier Thermal Clip Gear. Your choice of either Cyclonic mod, Power Amp, or AdrenMod3. Ammo has to  be Incindiary. Weapon Amp is optional.

ME2 taccloak (no power use and always full cooldown) or a 1 shot only bonus like ME1 assassination both would have been a better implementation (well, maybe not the latter if it was still a 225% bonus).

Yeah, TC should probably not allow power use at base, and then you could enable that with the Bonus Power evolution.

 

But when you start thinking about redesigning the power, you might end up going down a road where it doesn't even give any damage bonus at rank 1-3.

My favorite CSR build is the Human Infiltrator.  Cryo Blast with the CSR and Incendiary just melts armor.  With both armor pen mods, you can one-clip a Gold Banshee's armor.

 

That being said, I think the Salarian Infiltrator synergizes best with the CSR, especially if you're using Incendiary Ammo, because ED helps with shield/barrier stripping, and Proxy Mine has a good debuff for armor too.

AFAIK CSR as well as any other unlimited ammo weapon such as PPR Lancer etc gets bugged when used on Drell characters. But it's not too big of a problem the crosshair only moves a little bit down if you keep firing the weapon.

Batsent with a falcon, 56645

Blade armor and h/s both to defense, net incapacitate dmg field for big tech bursts, shockwave dmg reach and CD, passive for CD, fire ammo, power cells,AT rail and stronghold.  Falcon because priming and stagger so the net isn't dodged.  Bounce the hell out of everyone's screen.  Shockwave is the detonator, specced this way it's better at hitting your intended target.  Sidearm a locust for guardians, but mainly to give everyone a break from shockwave.  High shields with great regeneration.  It's slow (and fun!) as hell but it makes gold feel like bronze.
