Such a great thread! I had much feelings during my very first playthrough with my female Tabris. She romanced Alistair and got dumped after the Landsmeet, so she took the Final Sacrifice. Her song is:

Ouch... she didn't do the US because of Alistair did she?
Poor lass. But awesome song.
Took some consideration for my mage Seras Amell. I've settled with Superimposed by Pair of Arrows:
Ouch... she didn't do the US because of Alistair did she?Poor lass. But awesome song.
Thank you! No, she did not take that option. As the game was totally new at that time and I like to play RP with my characters, I tought this is the fiiting end: ( if we go tragic lets do a total tragic version).
You have a nicely built story for your Amell and the song choice is fitting
Warden Jarqen:

Warden Mahariel is a proud, cocky Dalish-nationalist. As a Warden recruit he looked to prove Dalish superiority by out-performing his peers. As the defacto leader of the 'Wardens after Ostagar, he operated with the agenda of making powerful allies where he could find them, growing his own wealth/power, and furthering his people's interests. He is just generally a guy that grabs the bull by the horns and steps up to any challenge like he knows he can conquer it.
When it comes to choosing songs for my characters, rhythm and tone are more important than lyrics/message IMO (but I try to find songs that check all four boxes)
P.O.D. -- Boom
^ Lyrics would need to be modified, changing from those of a musician on the rise (as I interpret it) --to-- an elven Dalish rogue taking the world of Thedas beyond his clan by storm. But the undertone of an aggressive, challenging message is spot-on, and the rhythm is just about perfect as well.
My canon Warden, Cara Cousland was dutiful and embarced the fate of the Wardens after everything fell apart around her. This song is hers:
Lyrics:
Warden Cousland. Romanced Morrigan
It's kind of from both perspectives.
I feel like my power hungry mage is partial to yacht rock.
In my headcanon he goes boating out on Lake Calenhad with all of his snobby Bann friends every summer.

Warden , a killing machine
I find this theme as fitting especially at 2:12 when the Lyrics say
Did you find another cure?
Warden life is always in danger, this is her/his strenght
Such a good (necroed) thread! Lots of fitting choices...
My usual song for all rpg's is the one I quote from in my signature- Jethro Tull's "No Lullaby":
Lots of Jethro Tull applies to the setting, particularly "Beastie" and "Broadsword."
Mostly I just think of the in-game music when I feel the characters, particularly the dwarf commoner origin, but if I were to give my Kruklya Brosca or Aedlyn Tabris a song... maybe Labbe Siffre's "Something Inside So Strong":
For Jagan Aeducan this might work- The Kinks "Living on a Thin Line":

Feylathil Mahariel was a bit of an earthy nature boy- gets Jethro Tull's "Songs from the Wood":

If I took the Dalish origin more seriously I might go with Luka Bloom's "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" or XIT's "Silent Warrior."
My Sywynlae Surana had power issues (crazedness) with all that magic at her fingertips, ultimately laying waste to anything she could in her path. Maybe Chris Rea's "The Road to Hell":

As a city elf,of course:
Bring me to life - evanescence
Kind of a cliché, but this works for my canon Circle Mage warden:
My "Canon" City Elf Warden: "Blow Me Away" by Breaking Benjamin.
(Just change the lines "fire your guns" to "fire your bows" and it's almost a perfect match.)
