I think I'll wait for 2077 for a proper cyberpunk game again. I liked Human Revolution but it was a game I could only play once then never get back to again. There wasn't much meat on it for me, with its barebones RPG mechanics and heavy action gameplay and lackluster endings.
This.
Plus CDPR is actually known for its customer friendlyness as opposed to Square Enix. I'd rather wait until 2016 (or 2017 as it may more likely turn out) and give them my money.
I really hope the next Deus Ex follows Jensen's adventures again. I need to have a few words with Megan after all.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided?

Oh, come guys, no one brought up the Game Informer video?
Are you fawking with me?
Are you fawkin' with me!?
That twitch channel has some weird stuff going on.

Um... does that mean the choice we made at the end of DXHR was pointless?

Yep. Actually all of Human Revolution was pointless since they aren't carrying over anything. They made our decisions for us, ex- Faridah being dead and not returning. Which is crazy to me since she was a huge fan favorite.

Sooo.... I guess I never asked for this?

Killing off Flygirl!?
Wow, if I hadn't already decided on not getting the new game, I'd be now. Next thing you'll tell me is that Mr. J is going to run after Megan again like some demented love-maniac when the average player would be more inclined to teach her a thing or three about the Mozambique Drill.

Honestly, I'm not too bummed out or surprised about the decisions not carrying over, mainly because the only realistic way they could've included all of the endings would've probably been to just have some short mention of what you chose at the end of HR, but all of them leading to the exact same world that we'll see here. I'd rather they just pick one and stick with it.
Still, a bit salty about no qt pilot to fly Adam around.
I didn't work my ass off to save Malik (I found that fight fairly difficult personally) and then get super weepy over "See you, flygirl" for them to go the other route. ![]()
Aside from that though, curious to see where they're going with this cause HR was a rather enjoyable game (even if I am still salty about the whole DC situation)

It's funny in the sense that people tend to mention how they wish Bioware would just abandon imports altogether and go for a canon playthrough. I definitely don't mind, but this is the other side of the coin in action.
I have to wonder if they canonized Malik's death because they couldn't get the voice actress back, or if they just randomly decided to go with her being dead because reasons.

I could've lived with a similar sounding VO job. I think Malik isn't defined by her voice so much as who she was and how that was expressed in game.

It's surprisingly easy. Just kill those Heavies quick. Once they are done, you have ample time to deal with the rest. It's really only those miniguns that deal substantial damage, all other Belltower goons can fire half-day long before they kill Malik.
Now, the real challenge is doing all that Ghost/Pacifist/Melee. You better hoarded all tose protein bars/jars and got them hotkeyed for that Stealth power to keep you up-to-juice.

‘Square Enix has announced the continuation of the famous cyberpunk series Deus Ex. The new part was subtitled Mankind Divided, it will tell us about how the future society was divided into castes augmented and ordinary people. In the middle of the action will be our old friend Adam Jensen – the protagonist of the game.
As in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the events unfold in different parts of the world. For example, in Prague, Czech Republic, Jensen will have to sort things out with Victor Marchenko – an officer in the so-called Coalition of Human augmented (Augmented Rights Coalition).
The choice offers two styles of play: “quiet” passage and open battle. Artificial intelligence of enemies became better than Deus Ex: Human Revolution , play, respectively, will be more difficult. Enemies travel in groups and if suspected something was wrong, summoned colleagues together to explore the dark corners. No more single dummy.
In an open battle Jensen also have hard times: opponents bypass with flank attack of the entire group. Also at your disposal will go more useful implants. Now, Adam can not only see enemies through walls, but also scan them for electronics and ammunition. Hacker will allow the implant to hack turrets and computers at a distance (as in the Watch Dogs ).
Do you remember the blade in the hands of Jensen? In Mankind Divided is a lethal weapon will receive an alternative type of attack – Adam learned to shoot a crossbow as a blade. Fans of “noisy” passing too will be satisfied: Jensen blinds enemies smokescreen and with the help of X-ray vision shoots them from an automatic rifle.
For protection from enemy fire can be briefly activated nano-shield and then bullets will bounce off the chest of Adam. In general, mechanical augmentations of Human Revolution remained untouched, but the amount of improvement has increased markedly.
The plot of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided remains a mystery. Developers do not plan to migrate from a previous save of the series – solutions Human Revolution players will not have consequences, and none of the four endings Human Revolution will not canonical.
For this reason, we have to say goodbye to some of their favorite characters, including and ( spoiler! ) pilot Farid Malik. In one of the missions of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Farida plane was shot down on approach to the landing. Life charming pilot was in the hands of players: could repulse enemy offensive and save Malik or throw it to die at the crash site. In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on the job we will deliver new pilot – Elias check.

The developers promise that additional work will have an impact on the gameplay. For example, if Adam decides to cross the road bandits in the beginning of the game, then later one of the crime bosses can considerably spoil the blood of the main character, set on a group of bandits in the next story mission.
Game development studio is engaged in Eidos Montreal. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Release date will be announced later.

Been there, done that, got the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement during my Ghost/Pacifist/Melee-only/Get-all-goons/Save-Malik playthrough.
Still not sure if the crash sequence even counts for the achievement as everyone is alarmed by default during that scene, but I made it anyway. Hardest part was painstakingly choreographing my assault so that any unconscious bodies wouldn't be seen by other goons and still take out those Heavies before they killed Malik.
Had to reload and adjust my plan at least five times until I finally managed to complete it
I didn't replay the game to go for the Foxiest of the Hounds or the other hard achievements. Otherwise I got the rest.
God's sake, Elias played the game more than I did. He said he beat it twice since release and this was uploaded in 2012.

In theory, imports are obviously great. It's just that in practice, it can get almost impossible to properly implement if what you're importing should in theory change the entire setting of the game. I'd rather take one ending for a game being considered canon in sequels than them trying to work all of them in somewhat and having to half-ass them all since budgets are a thing.
