I'd have to say unequivocally the legionnare is the most underrated class by a long shot because with the changes post patch it's important for someone to be up front soaking dmg and maintaining aggro for the team. Great against any faction, and can take down bosses particularly rtc easily with fortress particularly in perilous.

I realize to a lot players, his dmg and aoe abilities are mediocre but you can't dps when your in the fade, can you? His true invincibility, imo, makes up for it otherwise he'd be completely overpowered, though he can be with the top bis gear.

AW, archers, eles, even templar is definitely a lot more attractive in terms of post game scoreboard/kill residuals, and unless your always getting demon factions in perilous pugs, which is not the case, than lego is an attractive option these days.

I love having a legionnaire in my group, I just don't want to be the one bringing him. He just bores me to tears.

I like playing Lego when the team is balanced and you get opportunities to jump into the middle of a mob and hit counterstrike. Being swarmed is fun. But when most PuGs play as either archers or mages he turns into the team pot collector.

Everyone prefers to play ranged classes so that the team can get smashed on stage five.

I love the Legionnaire, i can control the flow of battle, and even if everyone dies on 5/5 the Lego can finish the fight by itself.

BUT (Hell yess)

The Legionnaire have THAT feeling of being the guy who is in a group date and doesn't get a girl, i mean nowadays is not 100% necessary of having a tank not even on Perilous .

Damage is the best defense on DAMP, and if you have CC skills like Firestorm or Static Cage, then there is no need for a tank at all. And even if there is a need for one, the only ones who would appreciate it are the Archers and assassin in your party because for the Legionary user, is not a fun thing to do.

At this point going toe to toe with Templar Commander, or just getting the argo of Demon Commander is not something of praise, Legionary's agro doesn't last forever, so even if you Counterstrike the whole room, after a while all the mobs will start changing targets.

And last but not least, there are other Warrior classes who are more fun to play, hell, even the Templar can charge into a crowded room and clear it, not to mention that Arc**Censored***rior who is very famous but shall not be named to keep the Legionnaire's Integrity.

Peace.

The legionnaire definitely isn't underrated, most people love having a leego in their group. If you hit every enemy once and block them once, you can top the scoreboards sometimes with 15 kills or less...but that means you have to take shield wall.

I'd say the alchemist is underrated, because I get a lot of comments about how I performed a lot better than expected when playing with her. It should be expected!

The assassin is probably underrated.

Basically, any class that is more difficult to play than the easy ones, and is misrepresented by players who don't do the class justice.

Also, barrier is the best defense in DAIMP.

Honestly, gonna say reaver. I never see them used, at least not in perilous pugs, and when I see warriors at all its either lego or katari. Sometimes templar, never reaver.

The reaver is one of these classes where you have to know how to use them, is not only the skill or equipment is how the player moves. I am not one of those i die as Reaver even on first area of Threatening.

So like me, many should feel dejected by the difficult of its playstyle. I also have to add Alchemist, Hunter and Assassin to that list.

I almost never see Necromancers any more. :(

I think I will play her a lot to make up for that. :)

I agree that assassins are underrated. I think though that its such a frustrating class to play if you dont know how(myself included). But I've seen assassins tear it up but they have to work twice as hard to get the same result. I think that's the thing that motivates people most of the time. Maximizing reward for effort.

I dont think alchemists are "underrated". I'd say they are very "rated". They are fun, there are tons of different fun specs but all of them do about just as bad.

Honorable mentions for undervalued classes definitely goes to assassin and hunter, with the new gameplay changes they can fare better moving around OUTSIDE zone 5, with their easy to miss passive they can be good flanking support. Both characters also allow room for some creativity but assassin is by far the least forgiving in terms of durability/survivability in perilous.

This made me sad, you probably have but not many people try To the death/En guarde with the lego sadly. He becomes a DPS machine with this ability, granted it is a single target ability. Combining it with payback strike makes for a tanky boss killer.

RNG gave me this weekend  Song of the Marshes axe for my alt account and Lego can dish out some damage, but I still don't have any notable ring, amulet or belt so some serious tanking on Perilous is far cry for now.

I understand what you're saying: there are very few people who enjoy being a tank when they can do flashy things and kill- well, all the things!

But I personally get my jollies by being The Wall that everyone hides behind. Like a Rock, I prefer staying in the middle of things and remaining unphased; Standing Outside the Fire is just not my thing.

What can I say: It's my Life.

...It's late and I'm making song puns, somebody stop me! D:

Love me some Lego. Pretty much my favorite kit, even though I enjoy the others and find their flashiness fun at times.

In the end, I like being the solid ol' reliable. :)

Can't imagine that has anything to do with the love I've held for Turian Sentinel, for many of the same reasons. Noticing a trend in my preferred play-style... LOL

I haven't played with a good lego for even longer.  Great Class.

I like the Lego but my only real beef is that most one handed weapons are pretty sad on perilous.  You get finger cramp from beating away on some mook for 30 seconds.

Mattock use is great training for that.
