I think that place would be fascinating to visit after the epilogue hints at interesting events occurring! We got a small taste of Weisshaupt in the Fade in DAO, but nothing else. Antiva would be nice to see too, and Nevarra. I want to see Par Vollen especially. Qunari are still a mystery and it seems implied that one day they might attack.

I'd like to see all of that, probably like to see Antiva first (because it should feel different, more high seas adventurey). But I'm hoping we can go south and found a new nation prodigal son/ Ghengis Khan style.

Hopefully they will expand Val Royeaux though. I'd like to see more facets of the culture fleshed out too, should be interesting. I enjoyed just having the french versions of the bard songs this time. It'd be cool to see more little unique touches added in, expanded on, along with new areas and story content and all of it.

Definitely. I wanted to see more of the ugly parts of the city (the slums and the Alienage) - we only got to see the beautiful, wealthy aspect of Orlesian culture, but as we well know, it has very ugly aspects too in which the commoners (particularly the elves) are exploited by the system, particularly the chevaliers. This contrasts with DA:O and DA2 in which we got to see the contrast between the way of life of the Ferelden nobility and peasantry and the Kirkwall nobility and peasantry (and mages) respectively, and I imagine the gulf between the two classes in Ferelden & Kirkwall is a lot less pronounced than it is Orlais where the elite are obsessively and excessively extravagant and wealth-driven (which is bound to lead to a greater degree of exploitation of the lower classes).

Eh not really Val Rayeaux was incredibly forgettable for me, the whole Orlesian Empire, or simply Orlais could go as far as i'm concerned.

The part of history its built off is forgettable as well for me. Very pomp-ass and overly full of it's self

I'd love to see more of Val royeaux, but only if it's a full map with many different areas and not just a bunch of tiny areas that you fast travel between. Could be really cool to walk between the different parts of the city, the noble quarters, the areas where the common people live, the alienage...

Perhaps something like this?

City of Calpheon, Black Desert Online (a South Korean MMO).

(alternative videos of this city here https://www.youtube....h?v=B-RUvMt3rOQ and here: https://www.youtube....h?v=5G6EXTBrwUY)

Ironically, Calpheon has a strong late medieval / early modern central-southern French vibe. Basically the kind of city you would have expected in Orlais before they decided to go with the current Disney Venetian Carnival Operette 'look'.
