So which of you died in battle with the Parthians and had gold poured down their throat? And which of you got assassinated while seeking refuge in Egypt? Oh, and which of you got stabbed 23 times in the Senate?

And yet you guys still have poverty... I think someone's country has their priority skewed...

We can't all be Scandinavia. At most, we can be greece or spain, do our best to take care of everyone and end up broke anyway. Only this time we'll be broke with no militarily at all and a neo-nazi faction trying to win control of the government.

We would do the same thing but we don't need to steal trade secrets since we are highly above everybody elses level. Instead we use our cyber mastery to listen in on Angela Merkel and Putin phone sex conversations.

I think us Brits will be fine to be honest.

We go Fallout style, our currency is teabags. We just enchant them so they look like money, but in truth, they're really just teabags.

I've read enough of history to learn that defense is paramount.

Poverty is impossible to get rid of unless the less fortunate live entirely off of the state. Which of course creates it's own problems.

What kinds of problems, and where did you get this information? We're going to face a situation with a lot of less fortunate living off the state some time this century I think if the speculations on the robot labour force I've read are to be believed. Like a repeat of the industrial revolution where 4/5 of the labor force lost their jobs. Except they had no welfare during that time period
