Just wondering if any one has noticed this. I have cable internet and should be at least a decent host. However at times players complain about horrible lag if i am host. I normally do not host games but the times there is a host migration and then I am the new host it seems almost every time other players have bad lag.
Could these two things be related? Host migration and poor performance?
Prior to whatever-in-the-hell-my-cable-company-has-recently-done, my upload speeds were crap (around 1 mbs or so), so while I could play just fine a host migration that put me as host would usually create lag for others. However, the upload speed and line quality have recently been greatly improved so it's not as much of a problem.
maybe try straight up hosting (non-migration) a few games and see how the performance is by comparison?
