I was gonna go that route but it was too typical.

“It is not a question of wanting. The throne is mine, as Robert’s heir. That is law. After me, it must pass to my daughter, unless Selyse should finally give me a son. I am king. Wants do not enter into it. I have a duty to my daughter. To the realm. Even to Robert. He loved me but little, I know, yet he was my brother. The Lannister woman gave him horns and made a motley fool of him. She may have murdered him as well, as she murdered Jon Arryn and Ned Stark. For such crimes there must be justice.”

No sooner had the sound of the warhorn died away than a drum began to beat: BOOM doom BOOM doom BOOM doom.
And a name passed from the lips of each man to the next, written in small white puffs of breath. "Stannis", they whispered, "Stannis is here, Stannis is come, Stannis, Stannis, Stannis."

That older players are more mature, and young players are annoying.  I have played many popular games, and I have had nothing but a blast playing with the 13-19 year olds. These kids are completely uncorrupted by the fanboy wars, and years of heated gaming battles. They are mostly very enthusiastic and only care about having fun. They will talk to you on the mic and share laughs with you.

The older adults (25+) are the ones who are short tempered. Very limited on time and very impatient. Other adults havent amounted to much in their real life and so they are angry at the world, isolated in the basement and the video game is all they have so they take it very seriously. They rarely communicate in game anymore and are socially awkward.

Fam came to drop knowledge without the actual knowledge. You remind me of intellectually high n****s.

"Few of the birds that Aemon had sent off had returned as yet. One reached Stannis, though. One found Dragonstone, and a king who still cared. A thousand leagues south, Sam knew, his father had joined House Tarly to the cause of the boy on the Iron Throne, but neither King Joffrey nor little King Tommen had bestirred himself when the Watch cried out for help. What good is a king who will not defend his realm?"

You stopped reading...

Nah, it's all good, man.

Also, here's an interesting Stannis analysis from tumblr:

"You know, reading GRRM’s interviews, I find it really REALLY interesting how you see a lot of his own viewpoints reflected in a rather unlikely character (though perhaps it’s just because I often find myself reading a shitton on said character)

GRRM on Woodrow Wilson:

He was despicable on racial issues. He was a Southern segregationist of the worst stripe, praising D.W. Griffith and The Birth of a Nation… however… in terms of foreign affairs, and the League of Nations, he had one of the great dreams of our time. The war to end all wars – we make fun of it now, but God, it was an idealistic dream. If he’d been able to achieve it, we’d be building statues of him a hundred feet high, and saying, “This was the greatest man in human history: This was the man who ended war.” He was a racist who tried to end war. Now, does one cancel out the other? Well, they don’t cancel out the other. You can’t make him a hero or a villain. He was both. And we’re all both.”

Stannis Baratheon on human nature:

A good act does not wash out the bad, nor a bad act the good. Each should have its own reward. You were a hero and a smuggler.

GRRM on religion:

And as for the gods, I’ve never been satisfied by any of the answers that are given. If there really is a benevolent loving god, why is the world full of rape and torture? Why do we even have pain? I was taught pain is to let us know when our body is breaking down. Well, why couldn’t we have a light? Like a dashboard light? If Chevrolet could come up with that, why couldn’t God? Why is agony a good way to handle things?

Stannis Baratheon on religion:

I stopped believing in gods the day I saw the Windproud break up across the bay. Any gods so monstrous as to drown my mother and father would never have my worship, I vowed. The Septon would prattle at me of how all justice and goodness flowed from the Seven, but all I ever saw of either was made by men.

GRRM on truth:

Truth is sometimes hard to hear…

Stannis Baratheon on truth:

The truth is a bitter draught at times…

And these are just three quotes off the top of my head, though IMHO, they do reflect some pretty big stances."
