I wanted to start a thread to gather some "census" data regarding loot. I'd like to collect the following information:

Gold spent:
BiS Items that you still have not seen:

I want to get an idea of the typical experience with the loot system.

I'll start....
gold spent: ~240k
Have not seen: 10% Hok, hp belt, 15% cdr amulet, pbtm, Griffon bow, sulevien, caliban, red rebirth, wicked grace, dwarven proving shield

Seen every staff there is, must have got that that berserk axe 5 times.

Edit: Just got griffon bow out of the victory chest moments after posting... bioware watching?

gold earned: something like 950k spent like 800k, been saving ever since.

 

have not seen: 10% HoK, 15% cdr, red birth, agony, thunderstrike, dragon axe, emperor shield and a few of the better skill rings namely static cage.

 

i have pretty much everything else in the game though including sulevin and caliban so its not like i need the two i mentioned up there but i certainly want them. oh and my daggers suck, aside from the wicked grace i don't have any other great daggers unless you consider gift of the talons great. i can't wait till this dlc drops since by then i'll have nearly 200k to drop in one siting.

I've done every Weekend Event and've spent about 650k, hoarding the rest.  I've got all the consolation-prize blues but am missing the following:

 

Belt: HP

Amulet: Stamina

Rings: 2nd HoK, Crit Damage

1h Warrior Weapons: Mace, Sword (Caliban pls), and Axe.  Also, I can't get a shield better than Estwatch...I'd even take Dwarven Proving, a blue.

2h: Fancy Axe

Staves: Anything above level 12...though in this case, the blues probably are better so that's alright.

Bow: Body explosion one.  I have Griffon, though, so it's k.

Daggers: Wicked Grace, Agony.  I have Red Birth and the Walking Bomb ones, though, so it's k.

 

So I'm at that weird place where I've got almost everything I want...and the odds at this point of getting an upgrade are so astronomically low that even opening chests doesn't feel like it's worth the effort--much less farming the gold.  To be perfectly honest, I'm not really hoarding in anticipation of new content; no, I'm really hoarding because I can't be assed to do all that salvaging.  Which is a shame because Lego is my signature class, what I'm known for.  And I'm one of the only people I know who enjoys Templar...though they got stealth nerfed haaaaard last patch.  So lacking that high-power 1h gear really hurts.

After nearly 650k gold spent, I'm thrilled that I now have a Level 4 Sundering.

 

Oh... wait...

 

Sorry, I had a bit of a moment there. I forgot that duplicate weapons don't level up to make a terrible weapon just a little less terrible. Instead, they just salvage into materials you have no use for.

At 1.7 mil.....

 

I just got the Sulevin Blade yesterday, which was the last weapon I needed. I have all accessories needed except the superb health belt. 

 

I am missing the Shield of the Emperor. 

 

I have all good daggers, one handed weapons, two handed weapons, all staves except Staff of the Void, and all bows (besides PbtM). 

 

I don't have the PbtM, but I like the Cruel Redemption better for my archer, and the Longbow of the Griffin better for my hunter, I don't consider PtbM best in slot. 

 

I also need some 27% healing bonus heavy boots, if we're counting that.

I'd have maxed that PoS a long time ago if it was possible. But no, still finding horses' heads in chests to this day.

 

As for items, I've spent around 700k and I'm still missing any purple bow on par with the Bow of Cruel Redemption, Caliban, crit chance rings, purple HoK ring and the purple HP belt. I don't have any good daggers and I have no worthwhile rings for my mages. Probably forgetting something else, but...meh.

Items I have not seen yet: Agony, Staff of the Void, Pyro of the Forgotten, Axe of the Dragon Hunter, Sulevin Blade, Superb Ring of Critical Chance and, shockingly, Walking Bomb Ring (have promoted my Necro 47 times and still don't have this damn Ring).

900k-ish.

 

Missing a second Red Birth, Caliban, Sulevin, any purple HoK ring (got one blue and one grey - ze lol), Emperor Shield, 15% cooldown amulet, purple stamina amulet, Long Shot ring.

 

Do have top 15 bows and about top 10 staves, with a triple Griffon bow (surprising, considering no duplicate on Punched yet), twin Wicked Graces and Walking Deaths, have both Dwarven Proving Shield AND Magehunter, and I think every "second and third best in slot" weapon around, minus the one hander, where I am missing Mage Punisher AND Thunderstrike - got Dwarven Longsword, Dwarven Crusher and Song of the Marshes + Soulkisser if I ever decide I need to tank Perilous on my Legio. Also have the purple crit, crit chance, attack rings, purple HP belt and I think all the resist purples also. Also all the noteworthy rings - Wall of Fire, Firestorm, Walking Bomb, Barrier (strength), Leaping Shot ring.

 

Off the top of my head this is my situation with a rough 90% precision. Didn`t get anything noteworthy in my last 150k gold, if we don`t count the 2 duplicate Griffon bows and the completion of my staves collection - Dynamo and the other one I forgot, but not using them anyway..not for now.

I kid you not.  Hok, Cooldowns etc. do not exist...

 

I don't mind RNG but the loot pool is so massive it's near impossible to get what you need.

 

I still say there should have been a store at the end of each game mode selling gear levels 1-10, 10-20 and 20+ respectively.

 

That way people would at least have to play Perilous to get the best stuff and things could be balanced.

It is more telling what you do have than what you do not. RNG and all renders, 'what I am missing' completely pointless. Especially when you get multiple copies of something.

I do have a problem deciding what the most effective rings and amulets are for each class.  Perhaps I'll have to do a search for a thread on that.

Maybe it exists in single player, but not multiplayer yet. It would render the Caliban absolutely obsolete, which is dumb.
