Maybe it exists in single player, but not multiplayer yet. It would render the Caliban absolutely obsolete, which is dumb.

It is as real as Brilliant Surge

I just gotta say, this comment is a little strange to me.  The Caliban renders everything else obsolete, so you're saying if there's another weapon that renders the Caliban obsolete, that would be dumb?

I'm assuming when the DLC hits, there's going to be several new unique 24-25 weapons (coming from Jaws of Hakkon).. and some of those weapons are going to render the Caliban *supremely* obsolete.. it's inevitable.

Okay, I'll expand on what I was saying. A sword should be good for higher ability damage and slower swing speed than a mace (so, lower dps, but higher ability damage)..but the mage punisher mace has more base damage than the sword, but they are both level 23 uniques, so yeah, it is very dumb.

Even if future content comes out, the fact doesn't change that they are both level 23 uniques. The Thunderstrike isn't obsolete, btw, just not as good as the Caliban. With the Mage Punisher, there is no reason to use the Caliban, since you can get that perk with a shield...aka obsolete.

I would do something like...

Sword = Highest ability damage (base damage), good perk. Offensive focus.

Mace = Highest dps, best perk, low base damage.  Defensive focus

Axe = Highest crit, worst perk, medium base damage. Balanced focus.

My comment should be less strange now

Although I am writing this while playing, so I may need to clarify some things  :)
