After learning that Leliana would love to be with the Warden again for good, this got me thinking. I would love if the next game had us playing as our Warden till up to their calling. It would be such a nostalgic moment, seeing old companions from DAO return for one last major battle next to the Wardens side. Leliana has changed SO much within the series and I just wished that we could explore it more, maybe even intimately as she would probably open up more that way.

Honestly, I don't really want to play as a new character in the next game, we have three so far and I would love if we could explore their stories some more. Even though I've played countless hours in Inquisition and II I still feel a stronger connection to my Warden and so would love if we could revisit them.

The short answer: No, not really or at least not for a whole game. I feel that any new adventure for the HoF should be a DLC and/or expansion pack. The Warden's story is done anything else is just a coda.

A whole game? No. A DLC? Sure why not, just not up to their calling, it's not very exciting. Now, the cure for the calling... that is interesting. And something i'd rather not have happen off-screen.

However it wont happen. Bioware is adamant on not bringing the warden back.

No, neither with Hawke or Inquisitor. I like the concept of a different hero for each DA game and I hope that Bioware will continue to follow it.

Very surprised by he amount of No's but very understandable. I do agree that a whole game would be a bit "much" but I just don't think Bioware would make DLC for the Warden in Inquisition.

Only if I get to start off as a level 35 assassin rogue. If not, then hells nah.

No.  My Wardens' story is done.  Let them (the surviving ones) enjoy their retirement in peace.  I have no desire to watch them degenerate into cannibalistic ghouls or commit "suicide by darkspawn"

If your Warden survived at the end of DAO then his story continues and I don't think he should just be tossed aside. I would love to be able to play him again in another story to see how he has changed in the 10 plus years since the end of the blight.

So you never rewatch a TV series or movie or watch the next show or movie in the series with the same character(s)? Its the same thing.

Replaying DAO is the same thing as rewatching a movie or tv show.

If I want to play the Warden again, I'll do that.

No.

Sorry, let me rephrase that.

Hell, no.

Don't get me wrong, I loved my Warden. I also loved my Hawke, and my Inquisitor. It's just that I feel that bringing the Warden back as a protagonist would feel like a washed up performer making one too many "comeback tours". You know how it goes. They get up on stage and people cheer because they're fans of the way it used to be, but it's the same tired jokes and the same routine over and over again. You can practically hear the artificial lung straining to pump life into it. If you'd never heard them the first time around, it probably wouldn't be too bad, but if you *did* watch them perform when they were in their prime, it would just seem awkward. And then you spend the rest of the show cringing and wishing they'd been allowed to keep their dignity.

Mass Effect and The Witcher already gave me this option. I like a change of pace for once and the concept that we are playing a story of a world through its more notable heroes instead of an epic tale of a single hero.

Pretty much this.

No. Bioware just has a wonderful talent for breaking characters in their return. I wouldn't want to play Bioware's version of my Warden again. DAA was enough on that front.

No more HoF, neither as a full game nor DLC nor cameo. Witch Hunt is their final tale.

Keep different heroes for each DA game. It reminds me a lot of the Suikoden series, where characters would overlap but the heroes were always brand new.

Do we want Dragon Age to be like The Witcher?

Bed a plethora of improbably-endowed redheads in a series of casual hookups?

Do you really want an answer to that?  <_<

If I remember Witch Hunt correctly it ended with Morrigan walking into an Eluvian after telling the HOF not to follow her or try to find her.  That certainly doesn't mean his story is over.

A Warden who romanced Morrigan can follow her through the Eluvian.

I suppose that the matter is when to consider a story "over" and this is really a very subjective thing

Do you know what is my most hated moment ever in a fictional story? When Tolkien at the end of LOTR tell us what everyone does after the tale. So "X" married with... had 4 children and the dies at ... age. No no no I never ever wanted read and know it. I don't wanna know that Frodo or Aragorn lived for 80 or 100 years more and then died because in my mind they had to stay forever!

So, I get that many people need to see the characters aging, retiring, dying before they can consider their story "over". In my case it is enough that the characters have exhausted their task or reached their purpose into the actual story to consider their story over. I know that them as  heroes will probably live other tales (or perhaps not) but this does not mean that I am supposed to see all of them.
