All I ever see when pugging platinum is noobs running around with the AIU and Claymore. It's not even that good. They don't help the team one bit, they run around on their own ignore objectives and if they come and help with an escort they don't even know to turn of cloak. Personally I like to use the Novaguard without the nova power, I just detonate fire explosions, watch the wreckage. I actually know how to play as a team mate, or I would play a lore build like a Krogan Soldier with a graal spike thrower. The amount of AIU's pugging platinum even at this stage in the game is ridiculous.

Another problem I am facing is people with 20 - 100 Challenge Points playing Platinum. They are not ready for platinum and it just ruins games where you could be extracting and stopping the reaper / collector / cerberus / geth threats. Personally I love to see new players just not on platinum! I implore you all to message these people and kindly tell them they are not ready for platinum yet. Be compassionate however, don't forget you were once a noob!

Anything than Reegar AIU's I can tolerate. Reegar AIU just screams - "I'm a n00b, that thinks I'm good" 

 

P.S. Claymore AIU has style, because High Lord Claymore and it's very effective, cos AIU's shotgun cloak and because M-300^TM to your ugly face.

I pug plat quite a lot, honestly we extract pretty much every game unless I get team mates who can't play, choose never to gel (if they down a lot) or are just really selfish. Honestly you meet quite a lot of good players.

There are a lack of people who don't take notice of the objectives no matter what the difficulty. In the same respect that there are a lot of people in the lobbies who refuse to press the ready button.

If I'm hosting a pug, a Reegar AIU joining is as good a reason as any to cancel a room and make a new one.

Claymore AIU not that good ? Novaguard without Nova ? Hmm...

 

Assuming you're not trolling, Claymore AIU is a beast combo, if people are bad with it that's their fault, not because the kit or the weapon sucks. Playing the Novaguard without Nova is... surprising. What is your reasoning for doing that ?

I do think that N7 rank and challenge points are not an indication of skill, although they usually can give you some sort of indication.

AIU Claymoar is my 2nd favorite kit. Maybe I like facing an Atlas missile blast to fix my kameltow before responding with an APIV triple hit delivered by the high lord himself. I tell myself it's okay since I've logged almost 1000 hours and I still play squishy kits from time to time.

Honestly mostly I like to use Nova but recently I have taken it off in favour off using a collector sniper rifle with incendiary rounds and priming for fire explosions. Then I would either use shockwave or biotic charge to detonate. Up until the last week however I would have thought any other way of playing the Novaguard would be silly but I decided to give it a try and it was quite fun. My main character is probably the Awakened Collector with a Collector Weapon or PPR or any kind of Drell / Geth. (Althoug the Geth are extremely OP). The Novaguard is still stronger with Nova however. 

Also its not just that people suck with the AIU, it's just loads of them end up never reviving team mates and avoiding objectives. In a game today I ended up with 15 revives by round 2 in platnium and a terrible team that made it to round 5 by which point I was bored to death. (It wasn't even hard Reactor / Reapers).

Also just in case Novaguard with Nova is stronger, just recently I have enjoyed fun games getting my Collector Sniper Rifle use which I never seem to use, despite having no real dislike towards the gun.

To name and shame, I have met many Talon mercenaries who just use the class to blow up spawns which I am fine with, but sometimes some of these guys can be very selfish . Has anybody else encountered anything similar to this? I just interested because some of the players now in the community don't seem to really care that much about the team as much as they care about their kills. (Btw I consistently finish 1st or 2nd (but not with the Novaguard without Nova, its more offensive support oriented)).

At least they are using the claymore in platinum. When I pug gold all I get is AIUs with reegars, Geth troopers with acolytes, or TGIs with harriers.
