Oh dear, someone's having wrongfun?!

I did melee juggernaut a bit last night. Mostly because I'd finished the Geth Spitfire challenge and was getting tired of holding the LMB down so much. Holding down "F" wasn't as much of a burden...

It's not the most efficient way to play the kit, I realize that. Some people just find certain play styles fun though.
To each his own.
The discussion was about the efficiency.
I don't know what to say.
and
I don't wanna get involved in this discussion.

All I ever see when pugging platinum is noobs running around with the AIU and Claymore. It's not even that good. They don't help the team one bit, they run around on their own ignore objectives and if they come and help with an escort they don't even know to turn of cloak.
This discussion...
Just another day in pugparadise. I would gladly take those AIU's intead of that predator wielding shield boost spamming volus and his buddy melee all the things puggernaut.
How does it hurt/damage/inconvenience you if a Jugg melees stuff and a Volus shield boosts? I am genuinely curious.
Because it wastes time. That much is obvious. I and many others would rather have shorter matches.
Any time a Jugg grabs something, I imagine they're calling out "Kill it, quick! So I can grab the next target for you guys/gals!" So I'm happy to comply
Of course, if it's me playing the Jugg then I'm actually probably saying "Leave it the **** alone, I need to get my ****** shields back so don't shoot it, you dumb fucks! Oh, you just shot it anyway!! You **** sucking mother ****** bastards! Aaargh!!" (*collapses to ground*).
That would only add time to the NON-playing part of the process, and so simply constitute a further "enforcer" of my point
This. You can of course grab it, drop it and shoot it in the head if it's a phantom. Jug Melee is extremely slow to kill IMO. Taking the last kill of a wave from a Juggy that has it grabbed is sort of dickish though.

Not that I'm disagreeing at all - because you're quite right - but Siege Pulsing the now prone Phantom so she ragdolls across the map like you are playing air hockey is also quite fun.

Last kill? Who cares? But if the Juggy is under fire, then you should pick any other target but the grabbed one. Instead people go for the easier kill and get the Juggy into trouble.
PUGs can't prioritize anyway. I make sure to kill all Ravagers, Scions and Cerberus Engineers as quickly as possible because otherwise things can get hairy. What do they do instead? Compete with each other for the nearest trooper/cannibal. Morons.

Even more so, Seeker Swarms when the team is full of casters, and Geth Bombers.

I kill everything but the instakill enemies. This way the whole team dies and I get to solo then I get to make threads on BSN about how big my penis is. People cry, I laugh, and the world burns; just another mother fuckin day on BSN. ![]()

Are you telling me to cooperate with PUGS?
No.
Well, I hate at least 80% of all the PUGs because of their sheer incompetence and their frustrating habit of sabotaging me (Flamer/Shockwave/Electric Slash spam etc), so I try not to be an ******* myself. Unless it's more fun, then all bets are off. ![]()

Well we can have a measuring contest. Slap it out on the table but you're going to need a new table then.

for me it became a game to see how well I'd do going against my pugs.
It was always 99% more fun than playing "perfectly" and completing every game.
Made victory seem more elusive, too, especially when I took my shenanigans to platinum.Because I'm an asshole., my mentaility was always "Hey, you need those credits? That's cute, because I don't."
The age where I "carried" pugs to their maxed manifest became irrelevant, because I ain't about that life.

I don't carry anyone. I will happily bleed out on top of a PUG's corpse just to show them that ****** with me is not going to end well. ^^
I do well against PUGs pretty much every single game, despite using less than optimal kits/weapons.
But games where everyone plays as a team are just more fun, they are smoother and the PUGs actually contribute. And if they are really good, then I'll just hang back and watch them for a wave or two instead of risking my neck. ![]()
Yeah, but why would you want every game to go smoothly? I missed those days when things weren't ever certain. So I recaptured them.

What I want and what reality gives me in return are usually vastly different experiences. In ME3 as well as in RL. ^^

Although the logic there being that if I can burn through the mooks, it eats up the wave budget faster so less higher level enemies spawn. That's why I try to leave things like a Banshee alone for the most part. Who cares if she's chasing me around as long as i keep moving.
I'd rather kill 2 Banshees at the end of a wave rather than 10 throughout.
(Engineers are definitely kill on sight though. Eff those guys)
Oh, I ignore Banshees most of the time. But Ravagers? Scions? Turrets? No way. Those have to go before they snipe you from a distance.
The mooks still die quickly, especially once the team no longer has to hide in cover because of a turret. It's not like killing Ravagers or Engineers takes long, they are usually dead with ~2 shots. Scion might take a bit longer but you can get them stuck in their melee mode easily, which lowers their damage a lot.

As a BSN-lurking mediocre UUG PUG participant, I can say with certitude:
Having a tanking aggro magnet melee Jugg on the team makes a noticeable difference in extraction efficacy.
The battlefield is so clear & defined. The mooks can get scraped off the periphery, and the remaining assemble in the whittling boss pile...enjoying a steady stream of combo kabooms, nades, and constant, constant gunfire.
Then the Jugg switches characters (to TGI/AIU/Krolord of course), and the team synergy evaporates.
Sorry to continue the tangential discussion as my first post, OP...
